Ok... so... "M" will not under any circumstances drink from a sippy cup. I'm thinking with the amount of money I've spent and the cupboard full of sippy cups, that I may have just spent her entire college funds on plastic.
She kind of "gets" the Avent ones... and she gets the Nuby bite ones...but I don't think its time to get rid of the bottle! She never took to any silicone nipples which is now becoming an issue as we try to transition her to a sippy cup.
We've tried:
Foogo
EvenfloKleen Kanteen
Nuk
Heinz
Parents choice
Boon
Avent
Nuby (3 different styles)
Playtex
Poor "M"...she tries and tries with all these stupid cups... she's so patient...and she tries everything once. If she doesn't like it...off the side of the high chair it goes...hence the cupboard full of "rejects".
If anyone has the "sure thing" sippy cup... the "one hit wonder"... let me know... my cupboards and my bank account will thank you!

OH! The bottle to sippy cup nightmare. I went through that with my 2 year old. He is on a high fat diet and has had to drink 4 bottles of Pediasure a day since he was 11 months. He would only drink it out of a bottle, everything else he would drink out of a regular adult cup. Doc. wants him off the bottle but he would refuse the prescribed Pediasure unless it was in a bottle.
What to do? I let it be for a long time. Then I got tired of the bottles all the time. So when he was about 2.5 yrs. I told him one day that all his bottles are dirty and he had to use a sippy cup. Of course the tantrums started and he didn't drink Pediasure for the whole day. Next morning, mommy I want a bottle. Sorry honey they are still dirty do you want a sippy cup?. Alright if I have to. He hasn't gone back to a bottle since.
If I knew it was going to be that easy I would have done it a long time ago. So it may work or not with your "M" but it's worth a shot.
Happy Sippy cup training to you!
