Thanks to everyone that entered! Make sure you check out all the other giveaways :)
Wacky Jacqui's Designs asked me if I wanted to have a blog make-over..... um... ya!! LOL! Whatcha think? Sweet eh? Jacqui was awesome to work with... we sent a ton of emails back and forth...and she came up with this! What I love... the colour... hello! It goes perfectly with my logo, and incorporated my storks.... which I totally miss :)
I mean she totally did everything! Made me 2 new buttons...added the social media buttons...so I can save space and not have to list ALL of them.... added the new drop down menus at the top (that's where all the giveaways and blog hops are) don't worry I didn't get ride of them! I think its really neat and clean. Looks more professional...and honestly... Jacqui was great... I totally had input in everything (gave her the idea for the button...and she surprised me with the other one... it's awesome Jacqui btw).
I played around and got rid of some of my old buttons and stuff... I made another tab and put all of them there... I'm kinda thinking I have too much unnecessary "stuff"... on my side bars.......LOL. Jacqui was nice enough to leave them all there...but really... it didn't suit the "new look"....so out they went. Then I just moved some of the stuff that was on the left side bar...to the right to even it out once I got rid of all the buttons I didn't want anymore. She also made me a contact form! I posted it for you all to see... so its the entry right after this one :)...it can also be found in the top bar!
Another thing you'll notice... I'm going to stop using a signature at the end of my posts. Let me know what you think...like it? love it? bring it back? - Just want to streamline everything, but would love to hear all your feedback!
Huge thanks to Wacky Jacqui's Designs for hooking me up (and installing btw) my make-over! She does work for Blogger,Wordpress, Facebook, ETSY,Twitter and a ton of other stuff! So give her a shout...and be sure to stop by and check out her portfolio too!! (other bloggers...you'll probably recognize a few!)
So I got a TON of product from Milkmate. What it is...is a holder for milk, juice boxes both the thin and thicker ones... that has a bottom to fit into all your rounded accessories... IE... stroller... car seat etc. I know I'm one of those people that HATE the fact that M can't put a juice box in her stroller... so I find that I end up dumping it into a sippy cup. Well... I'm tired of doing unnecessary dishes...and here's the answer. I have a ton, so friends... that are in my area... give me a shout. I have a few friends that I already gave them to.... both liked them... they fit in the deepest holders..... I liked it for the car the best! I was able to keep her drink within my reach for when she wanted it... and we use the skinny juice boxes....which sat deeper in the Milkmate....which meant... she couldn't squeeze the box...which is an added bonus.
Thanks to Milkmate for sending me out so many! So I'll offer a giveaway of 2 pink and 2 blue
I received a CD from Lovely Baby CD. It has 10 different songs on it.... good mix.... made specifically for mommies, babies and toddlers. There is a range of different CDs that help educate you children (prenatal to toddler), stimulate their brains and give parents another way to interact with their children.
What did we think? I liked the music and the male singer on the CD.. but the baby voice that is in the songs... both "M" and myself didn't care for. I think we both would have liked the CD more if it has a real child's voice rather than a simulated voice (or at least it sounded like a simulation). It's really high pitched...but the actual music is really nice. The actual songs are different than the regular songs you hear on these types of CDs which is a nice change as well.
Thanks to Lovely Baby CD and Tomoson for letting me do the review!
For more information and ordering please visit www.lovelybabycd.com/lobamo.html I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. I received a ring for review from Brag About It! Melissa let me design the ring... so I thought about it and decided to have the word "Family" on one side and centered on the opposite side of the ring... a heart. I LOOOOVE this! Brag About It makes stamped silver jewelry...all personalized...and funky! All are different and no two are alike! Melissa is a mother of 2 boys that started making jewelry after having her second child.
Here's why I like it so much... the silver is great... I got to design my own piece...it came with a polishing pad... shipping was CRAZY fast... and she picked the perfect font for the ring too. Also, I haven't really seen many places do these...so I was really interested in seeing if they were as nice as they looked.
HUUUGE thank you goes to Melissa! I'll be taking a look as soon as I post this for something else to add to my collection ;)
I received some Girl Gotch for "M" to try out! Yep...you guessed it... underwear for little girls... super funky and super cute! The founder decided to design these for all those moms who have issues finding underwear that actually fit their girls properly. They stay in place, don't ride up and the cotton/spandex blend is perfect...makes them nice and soft. I received a pack of briefs and a pack of boxers. Each pack has 3 pairs (different colors)... briefs were...pink, blue and purple....the boxers were yellow, green and orange....all neon...love it! So bright...wash well.. and "M" wasn't bothered by them at all. Size 2 was still a bit big for skinny minny.. but the thick waistband helped them stay up!
I think "M" thought the boxers were totally shorts... she wouldn't let me put her pants back on once I changed her into them... LOL. So these will be perfect for under loose clothing and even jammie bottoms at night in the summer. The briefs are her fave... how do I know you ask? She told me... lol...man she's talking up a storm now... so when she said... "Mommy... me love dis' one"... I kinda got the hint! LOL
Huge thanks to Girl Gotch for sending "M" out some to try out...and for offering an awesome giveaway!!
I got a chance to go to the Baby Time Show at the International Centre... it was much better than last springs show. Plus I got to walk around and meet a lot of the people I have been doing reviews with... including the lovely ladies from Luvali, Sweet Pea Baby Food, Wee Welcome and of course I stopped to hang out with the Oh Baby! crew for a bit!
I also was given the opportunity through Oh Baby! to go to the Fisher Price lunch and learn! M had a blast running around and playing with all the cool toys... only a couple of altercations with other kids... she seems to get pushed out of the way a lot... but no harm no foul... and the mommies totally apologized... so no big deal. I was more worried about M turning around and clocking someone.... she must be tired of getting stepped on and pushed out of the way... I know I would...lmao.
There was a ton of information about new and existing products... how they help with children's developmental stages..and really... how fun they are too! M even got to take home a tea set.. which she loves btw. She's very social..and shares well... and actually has very good manners... so I liked their choice for her age range. We also had the opportunity to ask any questions... and really... something has been bothering me...since she received the Little People's Barn... ok... there's no spot for the goat... and it's driving me nuts! There's spots for all the other animals... and M knows all the sounds and which spot each one is suppose to go in... but the goat is always left out! Soooo tired of her asking.."what's this?"... because its the only animal who doesn't have a "home"... LOL. Dr. Deborah S. Weber (expert in childhood development) was there to present us with the information and answer any questions.... and btw... she's taking the "goat issue" back to their team... LOL!
Don't forget to hit up their website Fisherpriceplay.ca ...make sure you enter the contest they have going on... worth $400!
It was really nice to see everyone and put a face to a name in many cases! M had some fun... we walked around.. I found that potty seat I was looking for... and we saw some friends! Good day!
I got to try a bag of McCain Purely Potatoes® Potato Chunks for a campaign through BzzAgent. They are real potato chunks that come, washed...peeled and cut.... in a microwavable bag (cook time 11-13 min)... then you can mash them after...which is exactly what I did. I liked that they were easy and quick to make.. I did find that even with adding...some milk...and sour cream...that they did seem dry still. I'm totally all about making dinner easy to make...but I did find that this was a little overboard even for me. Maybe I'm a little old school.. but I really don't think it's that bad to boil some potatoes for dinner...lol. Price wise... you obviously pay for convenience.. I think they were about $3 for the bag... so really... in perspective....I'd rather by a huge bag of potatoes for a little bit more :)
Overall... good for a quick dinner.. but totally can't replace the good old stove top method! Thanks to BzzAgent and McCain for letting me try these out!
I received a pack of all 3 scents, some sample packs, and a glass...with bottle of water and stir stick(you'll see why in just a sec) from Dizolve. The 3 packs I received were...unscented, fresh linen, and lavender (my fave). What Dizolve is... are laundry detergent sheets (similar to dryer sheets)...that you use in your washing machine. Throw a sheet in (1/2 for a small load)....start the water, let it fill up a bit...add your clothes... and done. No spilling liquid or powder detergent... they're biodegradable... and can be used in cold water (which we always use).
Now... why the glass...water and stir stick? To watch it work! I poured the water into the glass..dropped a sheet in and mixed it up.... yup... it dissolved! So now I know exactly what is happening in the washer while the load is going! I love that there isn't a lot of packaging (because the sheets are concentrated detergent) and totally friendly to the environment! I currently use liquid detergent and its heavy and half the time I either put too much or too little in the washer....not anymore. The only thing I was worried about is if I could use it on M's clothes and if it will take out the stains.... yup.. I just used the unscented...and that spaghetti sauce came right out... I'm totally sold!
Thanks to Dizolve for sending me a ton samples and offering a giveaway... to 5 winners!!!
I received a bottle of all 3 scents and some sample packs from Just a Drop! There were 3 scents that I received...floral oasis....eucalyptus and refreshing spring (my fave). You're probably wondering what Just a Drop is.... it is... drops you put in your toilet before you "go" to mask any "potty smells"... lol.
It sounds funny.. but it really works..... It is made of plant extract...and it is safe for any "potty" even sceptics and portables. It basically makes a protective layer to help trap any odours and keep them. I also found it was great for our kitchen garbage can... totally masked anything that needed to be. Overall.... such a simple idea... worked way better than I thought it would, honestly..... and it even came with a plastic holder to put the bottle in. I gave out some of the samples...and had a few friends try it out... they said it worked too!
Thanks so much to Just a Drop for sending out some samples and offering a giveaway... to 5 winners!!! That's awesome!
I received some day and night RelaxZen samples for review. The day ones help you to de-stress and maintain focus on your daily activities. It contains vitamins...like B6... amino acids.....and Acai extract and...the bonus... 0 calories! It's great for people on the go... I found that it tasted ok...and it made me actually feel really good... my body works well with vitamin B6 and B12. Those are usually my go-to vitamins when I'm having "one of those days". I liked that I didn't have to pop a pill to get the same effect. I threw a bottle in M's backpack and we now call it "Mommy's Juice"... LOL.
The night version can help with weight control ...memory.. and help you to have a better night sleep. I found I slept really well after having this... the chamomile extract helped calm me (sometimes I have a chamomile tea before bed if I've had a bad day...lol)..the B6/B12 helped me relax and the L-Threonine reduced stress. Overall... I really liked this one... I woke up refreshed and actually beat the alarm...with time to spare before "M" was up. I felt relaxed and really like... I got a good night sleep. This one tastes awesome! Definitely my fave of the 2!
Thanks to RelaxZen for sending me out some samples to try... they'll be a staple in this house for sure!!
I received the best shirt ever from iStyle Originals! It's a black t-shirt with "iCute." on it.... it's awesome! I got an 18-24 month size... and it fits large on ... little miss skinny mini! It washed well...it's 100% cotton...really soft...quality is great and the printing is done really well. I love the idea of these... they play on the "iPod" theme and trend...even down to their packaging and "user manual" that comes with... super funny too!
They have a ton of styles and sayings that are very trendy and really funny. They have adult shirts (would totally love an "iBlog" one... someone make this happen..lol).... children's t-shirts.. onsies...even shirts for dogs (love the "iBark" one)! They also have accessories like golf balls, pillows and hats.... I really like the "iBoard" one... the hubby would totally wear that!
Huge thanks to iStyle for sending me out my new fave shirt for "M"... perfect with a pair of skinny jeans and her pumas!
I received a black and Original Watch from Deuce Brand. Deuce Brand was developed for not only comfort but for fashion as well. Developed by athletes, these watches are great to wear while playing sports because they are flexible (made of rubber)...thin (about the thickness of a bangle)...are water resistant up to 99 feet...and come in a ton (literally) of colors!
It has a Digital LCD Screen on it... has both time and date.... is easy to set both functions..but my fave part is actually the bottom of the watch. It is thinner and flattened out..so it's actually really comfortable to wear! Bonus - comes with a year warranty!
Every time I wore this, someone made a comment about it...so I think its really cool and understated which means it totally fits my style too!
Thanks Deuce Brand for sending me out one to try out! This will be great for ball nights!
Wow lucky lady today! I didn't even need to pick a winner... Melissa M was the only one that entered. I'd love to hear some feedback as to why no one else entered.... if you have a comment, please let me know :)
Already sent you the email Melissa.... please respond within 48 hours :)
I received an organic cotton snack bag lined with ripstop for the review! I have reviewed a bunch of different snack bags in the past... this was the first with a zipper. I actually like the zipper much more than the velcro enclosures. The liner is easy to wash... I do like a more of a vinyl lining so I can just rinse it instead of throwing it in the washing machine or hand washing it (which I didn't mind...took 2 seconds). KAEL&KAED has a ton of different products... and some really cute patterns...there's a reeeeallly cute veggie one and a nesting doll one which I'm totally in love with. I received a green one with designs. I like that there they also put a loop on the side of the bag so you can attach it to a toy leash or a clip... it makes it really easy to get at. All the products are hand made in British Columbia (Yay! another Canadian product!)
Thanks to KAEL&KAED Designs for sending me out an organic cotton snack bag!
