I got to try a bag of McCain Purely Potatoes® Potato Chunks for a campaign through BzzAgent. They are real potatoe chunks that come, washed...peeled and cut.... in a microwavable bag (cook time 11-13 min)... then you can mash them after...which is exactly what I did. I liked that they were easy and quick to make.. I did find that even with adding...some milk...and sour cream...that they did seem dry still. I'm totally all about making dinner easy to make...but I did find that this was a little overboard even for me. Maybe I'm a little old school.. but I really don't think it's that bad to boil some potatoes for dinner...lol. Price wise... you obviously pay for convenience.. I think they were about $3 for the bag... so really... in perspective....I'd rather by a huge bag of potatoes for a little bit more :)Overall... good for a quick dinner.. but totally can't replace the good old stove top method! Thanks to BzzAgent and McCain for letting me try these out!
