Happy Tuesday!

So... just needed to bring something up... here's what happened...

In March I won a giveaway from a really cool blogger and was totally psyched about receiving this giveaway in particular because it was for a full outfit... pants, shirt and hair accessory (jackpot!..or so I thought).

Well... seems like it was too good to be true... I emailed the sponsor in March after I won and advised them on my choices.... got a response...few emails back and forth... waited a few weeks... then sent a follow up. I msg'd the sponsor on their FB wall... and basically they had no clue what my order was... so I sent another email. They said they didn't receive it. Then found it in their junk mail...but they had sent me a DM on FB by then asking what I won again...just a memory refresher for them (no problem...).

Gave them the styles and sizes again for the prize... they apologized..no worries.. I'm an easy going person.. and really... stuff happens... life happens. These messages were exchanged in mid-April... First week of May I sent a follow up requesting tracking info... no answer...again a week later... no answer.... another week later... no answer... today... was my breaking point. I don't have time nor do I want to hound anyone for anything... my readers don't do it to me... so why would I do it to anyone else? Plus...if there's ever an issue it's resolved the first and only time I am made aware of the situation.... I'm sure all my winners that had an issue would attest to that....and I'm proud of it too... just sayin'.

I think the worst thing you could do to someone is ignore them...so today I kindly advised them both by DM and on their fan page that I was no longer interested in receiving this giveaway prize....they deleted the msg off the wall.... (fyi... there were messages on the FB page wall almost daily...so they were totally ignoring me).Wanna hear the worst part? There are links on their fan page promoting another giveaway they are doing... like... really? I think I'm actually hurt that someone could actually do something like this... I would hope that none of my sponsors would or could ever do that to anyone.

Moral of the story....If you are a sponsor like this, please, do not contact me for a review and/or giveaway... I'm not interested in dealings such as these....and I will not tolerate such behavior...it's embarrassing. If you are too busy to do giveaways... don't do them... your word is everything when it comes to social media and online selling. You ruin your word... that's it... I know both I and the blogger will never buy from this sponsor...

In saying that... I totally feel sorry for the blogger who hosted the giveaway... she's never had anything like this happen and even offered to send me something herself (totally said no... appreciate the offer.. but not necessary by any means :)... I swear!)

Anyone else have similar things happen to them? As you can see... I've been totally respectful of the actual sponsor... no names or links... it's not my style... just thought I'd share my experience.....
