ThinkDIVA - Product Review and Giveaway!!

I received a Starfish Necklace for review from ThinkDIVA! It came on a snake chain... the length was perfect for me... and the starfish is totally my style! All their products are made from silver... so no worries about the quality... but I really liked how heavy the starfish itself is! It's a great weight for the chain and you can actually feel it while your wearing it (which also tells me that it is of good quality).
The Mommy of 2 that is behind ThinkDIVA has a full time office job...but that hasn't stopped her from starting her own jewelry business to help all the other Moms out there afford to treat themselves to something a little funky now and then...that won't break the bank! (I can totally appreciate that!). You need to go check out this site! There is a ton of accessories (including KidDIVA)... like bracelets, earrings...rings... toe rings...even jewelry sets....which guess what?? Yup... GIVEAWAY TIME!!! ThinkDIVA has been generous enough to offer up a Blue Eyed Heart necklace and Bracelet Set!

Huge thanks to ThinkDIVA for making my day with my new piece of jewelry! Can't wait to wear it in the summer months... would look really cute with a summery outfit!

Monave Lip Glaze (Tomoson) - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a Monave Lip Glaze for review. It is natural, has a tint of color, bit of shine, is vegan and gluten-free... even the pigments are from natural sources. There are no preservatives, dyes or animal by-products.....and.... Monave offers a full line of mineral make-up!

I actually liked the lip glaze... the colour threw me off a bit while in the tube.. it looked really dark (#506).. so I was a bit afraid of what it would look like on me. But... really... it gave a nice shine and tint... not overpowering. The other thing was that it wasn't sticky like other glosses. It was really smooth... that I honestly think was the best part about it :)

All the ingredients are actually readable on the container... which I like... and it means that they are all about their skincare and..... the fact that it is actually handcrafted is awesome!

Thanks to Monave and Tomoson for letting me so the review!

Digital Designs by Renée - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

RenĂ©e from Digital Designs by RenĂ©e contacted me about doing a review and giveaway.... it took me a while to think of how logistically I could review this type of service... so we decided to have her create a logo for me :) - I've been playing around with a few logos for a while... but I figured...this would be a great opportunity to have someone professionally do one.. and also allow someone else to have a second point of view on what it could actually look like.

Digital Designs by RenĂ©e offers a lot of services..... including.... special events or show ads, general promotional giveaways, coupons, product tags or basic packaging, greeting cards, photo enhancements, and a ton of other things (plus she's totally open to any suggestions you have).

I received a "Premium Custom Design"... basically we literally went back and forth numerous times a day with options she created as well as a few I had thought up.... and kept tweaking it... changing colors and fonts...pics...orientation....everything... basically I thought I wanted either something with the stork from my header or have BBL in 3 circles with "The Baby Bottom Line" written underneath (both shown in this post)....but I also had a few ideas that included hand prints or even a foot print. We shot back ideas back and forth for a few weeks.... she was awesome to work with.... I'm hard to please... and she was more than patient enough to deal with me making a bunch of changes... and even came up with some really cool ideas. Check out my logo's progression and let me know which one was your fave...

Drum roll please................................. the winner is.... taaaadaaa! What do you think??? I LOOOOVE IT!
Renée does some great work when she enhances photos... I took a peek in some of her albums...really cool stuff... very professional looking..but also fun and different! She's been nice enough to offer a giveaway too!

Thanks so much Renée!!! I appreciate all your hard work...hopefully you'll see this logo all over the place one day!
For more information and ordering please visit her FACEBOOK page!
What's up for grabs??? FREE Photo Enhancement on a photo of your choice
(Must be a photo you have rights to, 3 different enhancements of any 1 photo you choose, You will continue to own all rights to your photo)

Potty Cover - Product Review

I was sent some Potty Covers to review with Little Miss Potty Pro..LOL. They are disposable toilet seat covers that come wraped in singles (in a pack of 6). Now that "M" is potty trained... and makes it a point to visit every bathroom in every store we visit... these came really handy. The seat covers are huge...it's the first thing I noticed. It covers both sides and almost down to the floor in the front....so no worries about their legs touching the toilet and they can hang on to the side of the seat without having to worry about all the grubbies that are in public restrooms.

Obviously "M" needs a bit of help staying on the "big potty" so I did buy her one of the fold up travel seats... but really.. it was just so she didn't have to touch the seat... I still have to hold her on it anyway because there aren't any handles... so really... these take up nothing compared to the seat shoved in her bag. I think I fit the entire 6 pack in her bag and it didn't take up as much room as the seat.

So... out the seat goes... sorry Dora... lol... you've been replaced!LOL. I've used the covers too... they're really soft and they stay on the seat without having to stick it down or anything.

Thanks to Potty Cover for sending me out some samples to try out! You have me sold!

Neal's Yard Remedies - Product Review

I received a few products to review from Michele at NYR Organic. She sent me a full sized Baby Balm and a sample of their Frankincense Hydrating Cream. The cream is a best seller for them in the U.S and U.K... and I can see why! It's for all skin types...has myrrh and a ton of essential oils (which helps with fine lines)... and it smells different than any other cream I've used before. It has such a mix of unique ingredients that keep the skin hydrated...I can see why they've won so many awards! (They carry over 200 certified organic products)

The Baby Balm is for dry and sensitive skin. I've noticed lately "M" has had a few patches of dry skin.... and I've tried a few other products to help with hydrating the areas. This balm has olive and coconut oils and can be used for anything from diaper changes...to dry skin anywhere on the face and body. You can even use it on newborns... so this is a big deal... even the most sensitive products that you can buy...can't be used on newborns. There isn't much of a scent to this product...no parabens..or phthalates either..so totally safe! (fyi... great for dry elbows too... this weather is killing me! Thank goodness it's warming up now.. the back and forth from snow to tshirt weather has been doing a number on my skin)....oh wait... that's right... we just got DUMPED ON... AGAIN... booo...

Huge thanks to Michele an independent rep for NYR Organics...it was really nice to try some new products!

Nursing Undercover - Product Review

I received a Key Fob and a Tag Blanket from Nursing Undercover. The Key Fob is a a loop key chain for Mom's on the go to slip right over their hand so they don't have to dig through a huge diaper bag to find their keys when they need them. There are a ton of fabrics to choose from... I received the the "Raspberry Fizz" fabric... which is cotton... and the hardware is in nickle. My hand fit perfectly through the one I received... and "M" had no problem hanging onto them in the grocery store either :) (oh...btw... you can always email them for a special size... the standards are 10 and 12 inch... )...and you can have yours monogrammed too!

I looove the fabric of the Tag Blanket we received. It's really funky and is brown, blue, green and white (totally me) kind of cat-eye fabric and the other side is a textured baby blue fabric that is really soft (and different that any I've seen thus far). All the tags around the blanket are different....in size and pattern (very few were duplicated)... which was awesome.

The ribbon patterns on this one included anything from polka dots and paw prints to stripes and animal prints! My fave was the dragonfly and dinosaur ones! all the ribbons coordinate in color with the fabric.......super sweet! It is machine washable... and "M" really liked the patterns in the ribbon... so kept naming them off to me and btw it's officially dubbed "Elmo's blankie"... so now not only is Elmo being dragged everywhere we go...but so is his blankie...LOL.

Huge thanks to Jennifer for sending me out a few products to try.... go check her out... she has some really cute patterns to work with (the Owl one is sooooo cute!) and she has a ton of products... from diaper bags to headbands!

Snapware - Product Review

I received 3 products from Snapware for review. The first thing was the 4 piece Glasslock set.... they are airtight and leak proof.... microwave and dishwasher safe... and the lids snap on at all sides (this is awesome)... I looooove these!!! They can even go in the freezer! Perfect for large leftovers :) The lids fit perfectly and I even did the "flip" test.... turn it completely upside down to make sure everything that's in there actually stays in...lol. They are glass....which is nicer than the regular plastic stuff.... and they're actually heavy and the glass is really thick.

The next thing I reviewed was their Small 4 layer Snap 'N Stack which is perfect for all our little crafts we've been doing as of late. It has 4 layers as well as a lid with a handle and each tray snaps onto the next one to act as the lid and make sure nothing spills out...lol. They are dishwasher safe so no worries if something spills out and it needs to be cleaned. I like that each tray fits perfectly and once its snapped in... doesn't budge. I had so many uses for this... from crafts to makeup...or even snacks for "M"... totally going to buy more to add to our stack :)

Lastly I got to try out a Ribbon Dispenser.... LOOOOVE it! It's perfect for some of my ribbon that I've been collecting... have got the hang of making bows and hair accessories with "M" so... its great. It has 2 sections... the top section (which can be switched) holds spools of ribbon...and even has slits to feed your ribbon through to keep everything neat, organized and untangled...lol. The bottom I used for some of the other tidbits I need to make her bows... and it snapped together like the other products (by just pressing down to unlatch it and up to hook it back up).

The best thing about these products is you can always add more trays to the stacks to allow for them to hold more... but can also be broken down to smaller segments. I'm definitely going to pick up some more of all 3 products actually.... totally replacing my plastic Tupperware... and ready to organize as much as I can.... bring on spring cleaning! Snapware has a ton of other products to help you organize yourself... you have to go take a look!

Thank you to Snapware for letting me try out some products... you have me hooked!

Pregnancy Organizer & Planner (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Pregnancy Organizer & Planner for review. Everyone knows that when you're planning or pregnant... everything seems more stressful...and you always feel more unorganized than normal at least I did! LOL!! This one is pretty cool...it has a clear plastic cover with snap closure and loop for a pen (that comes with!). There are 4 dividers... calendar, contacts, health and baby planning... so these should help you keep organized. The first few pages under the calendar section has lists that you can check off items you need to buy/do by trimester. Then there are some calendars and areas for notes etc. I like the last few pages called "Pregnancy Reflections" and it's also by trimester...cute touch and just enough room to write down anything you'd like to remember :)

The contact section has pages for...health care and service providers, important contacts, referrals, neighbors babysitters (and information for babysitters) and also lists of who to call when in delivery and after the baby arrives. The health section has areas for recaps of all your prenatal visits, blood work, questions for your Dr., a log of all your health care, insurance and even room to include all the info about your insurance claims...oh and a menu planner for the week too! Under baby planning, there are sections for your fave names, advice, a place to list all your books to read, websites to visit, what baby needs, what Mommy needs, shower and registry info, gift log, gift cards, mat-leave info, packing your bag for the hospital, hospital tour, breastfeeding, info for multiples, and cord blood info. WOW... so many things to think about...but I like that it's all in one place. My fave part of this planner is the stickers at the back that have labels by pregnancy week and trimester, due date etc. There are a ton including stickers for Dr. appointments... school info...vacation... and even birthdays. I also like that it has 3 different plastic pocket areas at the back to keep appointment cards and receipts. It's actually awesome! My friends know how organized I am already...and this would totally put me over the top...lol... definitely going to use this for the next baby...if and when!

Thanks to Family Facts and Tomoson for letting me do the review!

Candy Land Game Keychain (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Candy Land Game Keychain for review from Wholesale Keychain. Basically it's a mini version of the game Candy Land.... 2 game pieces...and 8 cards to draw from. The board is magnetic and the men have magnets on the bottom to keep them from falling off. There's even a little drawer in the side of the box to house the men and cards. The lid of the little box opened up to reveal the board for the game...it's a little red plastic box with Candy Land stickers on it to make it look exactly like the bigger version. The only thing I wish is that there were more than 8 cards...I think it would make it more fun (for older people anyways).... "M" had a blast... obviously I had to watch her with the pieces and she couldn't play it without me... but it put a smile on her face...so that's all that matters! I also like that I can toss it in her diaper bag for when we're grabbing lunch at the mall :)

Thanks to Wholesale Keychain andTomoson for letting me do the review :)

Mom Central - Dare Cheddar Cheese Bear Paws Product Review

"M" got to try out a box of Cheddar Cheese Bear Paws made by Dare Foods. They are cheese crackers... peanut free...no saturated/trans fats.. and are packed full of goodness! To be honest... "M" wasn't a huge fan... but I think it was just the shape and the fact that she's a Goldfish-a-holic...so anything a bit different takes her a while to get into.
These were made in a peanut-free facility..which means... yes parents... they can go to school with the little ones! (I'm not looking forward to having to follow all the rules and regulations when it comes to food etc.. that's when you really need to start getting creative!)

My thoughts.....they tasted really...really...similar to the Goldfish crackers..so I don't have a doubt that the box will soon be empty!

Thanks to Mom Central for letting us try out a box!

The Potty Bootcamp - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a copy of The Potty Bootcamp from Dr. Suzanne Riffel. Right off the bat... I noticed... this was what I'm calling a "Coles notes" version of a few different styles of potty training. The book is a 49 page cheat sheet for parents trying to potty train their kids. Suzanne goes through whether or not your child is ready... how to tell if they are...how to figure out which "way" is the best way for your family, by giving you the most common methods... and what exactly to do. She even out lines a shopping list for you... and a flow chart for the bootcamp... (trust me as a person that likes visuals... it put it into perspective and simplified the whole process for me.)

Now I have to be honest... I would consider "M" potty trained as of just before her 2nd bday (22 months corrected age). Here's what I did to get her out of diapers.....
#1... we've been talking about "the potty" since October... (with a few successes along the way).....
#2... I didn't pressure her whatsoever (actually... she was totally ready... and I wasn't)...
#3.... I asked her all the time if she had to go... (probably in intervals of 60 min...I didn't time it... just kinda glanced over at the clock once in a while..or waited for her to tell me)....
#4... when we finally took the plunge and decided to try "underwear", we only had 1 accident on the first day and 1 on the second day....(and it happened when I actually got distracted with a phone call and a door bell.... so...really... they were both my fault).
#5... I put her in pull-ups when we go out..."just in case"... but she never actually goes in them which is awesome!
#6... nap time and bed time... I put her in diapers... just for the simple fact that we still have some... and even though the majority of the time they're dry in the morning... I feel more comfortable knowing that even if there is an accident...she'll stay dry. She's still in a crib so it's not like she can get out of bed by herself and run to the bathroom (mind you..there have been a few nights where I heard her on the monitor calling me... and she asked to go to the bathroom).
#7... AMEN for sticker charts... and Hersey kisses...she got a sticker and a chocolate after each success! #8.... if there was a full day without an accident or wet diaper after naps/morning... she got a "reward".... no I didn't go crazy... I got a few books and crafts for us to do together.

I just went with the flow of things.... and this....and most of the steps I actually happened to use were all in Suzanne's book. Man... I wish I got this book a bit earlier....lol... I stressed out over this whole situation for so long...and I think The Potty Bootcamp is great for putting your mind at ease...and really simplifying everything. "M" is in the maintenance phase now... and honestly... it's a pain in the butt... I'm now in the habit of asking her if she has to go... before bed... after naps... before leaving the house... getting home from ANYTHING....lol... it's annoying;..but hey!... amen to no diapers!

Now I'm hoping "M" doesn't jump off the deep end and completely forget everything.... if she does... no worries... there are steps to help get your child back on track too! So....don't think I'll be putting this book on the shelf any time soon... it's an official coffee table book for the next 3 months! Thanks Suzanne!
