ThinkDIVA - Product Review and Giveaway!!

I received a Starfish Necklace for review from ThinkDIVA! It came on a snake chain... the length was perfect for me... and the starfish is totally my style! All their products are made from silver... so no worries about the quality... but I really liked how heavy the starfish itself is! It's a great weight for the chain and you can actually feel it while your wearing it (which also tells me that it is of good quality).
The Mommy of 2 that is behind ThinkDIVA has a full time office job...but that hasn't stopped her from starting her own jewelry business to help all the other Moms out there afford to treat themselves to something a little funky now and then...that won't break the bank! (I can totally appreciate that!). You need to go check out this site! There is a ton of accessories (including KidDIVA)... like bracelets, earrings...rings... toe rings...even jewelry sets....which guess what?? Yup... GIVEAWAY TIME!!! ThinkDIVA has been generous enough to offer up a Blue Eyed Heart necklace and Bracelet Set!

Huge thanks to ThinkDIVA for making my day with my new piece of jewelry! Can't wait to wear it in the summer months... would look really cute with a summery outfit!

Monave Lip Glaze (Tomoson) - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a Monave Lip Glaze for review. It is natural, has a tint of color, bit of shine, is vegan and gluten-free... even the pigments are from natural sources. There are no preservatives, dyes or animal by-products.....and.... Monave offers a full line of mineral make-up!

I actually liked the lip glaze... the colour threw me off a bit while in the tube.. it looked really dark (#506).. so I was a bit afraid of what it would look like on me. But... really... it gave a nice shine and tint... not overpowering. The other thing was that it wasn't sticky like other glosses. It was really smooth... that I honestly think was the best part about it :)

All the ingredients are actually readable on the container... which I like... and it means that they are all about their skincare and..... the fact that it is actually handcrafted is awesome!

Thanks to Monave and Tomoson for letting me so the review!

What's up for grabs??? Your own Lip Glaze!

Digital Designs by Renée - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

Renée from Digital Designs by Renée contacted me about doing a review and giveaway.... it took me a while to think of how logistically I could review this type of service... so we decided to have her create a logo for me :) - I've been playing around with a few logos for a while... but I figured...this would be a great opportunity to have someone professionally do one.. and also allow someone else to have a second point of view on what it could actually look like.

Digital Designs by Renée offers a lot of services..... including.... special events or show ads, general promotional giveaways, coupons, product tags or basic packaging, greeting cards, photo enhancements, and a ton of other things (plus she's totally open to any suggestions you have).

I received a "Premium Custom Design"... basically we literally went back and forth numerous times a day with options she created as well as a few I had thought up.... and kept tweaking it... changing colors and fonts...pics...orientation....everything... basically I thought I wanted either something with the stork from my header or have BBL in 3 circles with "The Baby Bottom Line" written underneath (both shown in this post)....but I also had a few ideas that included hand prints or even a foot print. We shot back ideas back and forth for a few weeks.... she was awesome to work with.... I'm hard to please... and she was more than patient enough to deal with me making a bunch of changes... and even came up with some really cool ideas. Check out my logo's progression and let me know which one was your fave...

Renée does some great work when she enhances photos... I took a peek in some of her albums...really cool stuff... very professional looking..but also fun and different! She's been nice enough to offer a giveaway too!

Thanks so much Renée!!! I appreciate all your hard work...hopefully you'll see this logo all over the place one day!

For more information and ordering please visit her FACEBOOK page!
What's up for grabs??? FREE Photo Enhancement on a photo of your choice
(Must be a photo you have rights to, 3 different enhancements of any 1 photo you choose, You will continue to own all rights to your photo)

Potty Cover - Product Review

I was sent some Potty Covers to review with Little Miss Potty Pro..LOL. They are disposable toilet seat covers that come wrapped in singles (in a pack of 6). Now that "M" is potty trained... and makes it a point to visit every bathroom in every store we visit... these came really handy. The seat covers are huge...it's the first thing I noticed. It covers both sides and almost down to the floor in the front....so no worries about their legs touching the toilet and they can hang on to the side of the seat without having to worry about all the grubbies that are in public restrooms.

Obviously "M" needs a bit of help staying on the "big potty" so I did buy her one of the fold up travel seats... but really.. it was just so she didn't have to touch the seat... I still have to hold her on it anyway because there aren't any handles... so really... these take up nothing compared to the seat shoved in her bag. I think I fit the entire 6 pack in her bag and it didn't take up as much room as the seat.

So... out the seat goes... sorry Dora... lol... you've been replaced!LOL. I've used the covers too... they're really soft and they stay on the seat without having to stick it down or anything.

Thanks to Potty Cover for sending me out some samples to try out! You have me sold!

Neal's Yard Remedies - Product Review

I received a few products to review from Michele at NYR Organic. She sent me a full sized Baby Balm and a sample of their Frankincense Hydrating Cream. The cream is a best seller for them in the U.S and U.K... and I can see why! It's for all skin types...has myrrh and a ton of essential oils (which helps with fine lines)... and it smells different than any other cream I've used before. It has such a mix of unique ingredients that keep the skin hydrated...I can see why they've won so many awards! (They carry over 200 certified organic products)
The Baby Balm is for dry and sensitive skin. I've noticed lately "M" has had a few patches of dry skin.... and I've tried a few other products to help with hydrating the areas. This balm has olive and coconut oils and can be used for anything from diaper changes...to dry skin anywhere on the face and body. You can even use it on newborns... so this is a big deal... even the most sensitive products that you can buy...can't be used on newborns. There isn't much of a scent to this product...no parabens..or phthalates either..so totally safe! (fyi... great for dry elbows too... this weather is killing me! Thank goodness it's warming up now.. the back and forth from snow to t-shirt weather has been doing a number on my skin)....oh wait... that's right... we just got DUMPED ON... AGAIN... booo...

Huge thanks to Michele an independent rep for NYR Organics...it was really nice to try some new products!

Nursing Undercover - Product Review

I received a Key Fob and a Tag Blanket from Nursing Undercover. The Key Fob is a a loop key chain for Mom's on the go to slip right over their hand so they don't have to dig through a huge diaper bag to find their keys when they need them. There are a ton of fabrics to choose from... I received the the "Raspberry Fizz" fabric... which is cotton... and the hardware is in nickle. My hand fit perfectly through the one I received... and "M" had no problem hanging onto them in the grocery store either :) (oh...btw... you can always email them for a special size... the standards are 10 and 12 inch... )...and you can have yours monogrammed too!

I looove the fabric of the Tag Blanket we received. It's really funky and is brown, blue, green and white (totally me) kind of cat-eye fabric and the other side is a textured baby blue fabric that is really soft (and different that any I've seen thus far). All the tags around the blanket are different....in size and pattern (very few were duplicated)... which was awesome.

The ribbon patterns on this one included anything from polka dots and paw prints to stripes and animal prints! My fave was the dragonfly and dinosaur ones! all the ribbons coordinate in color with the fabric.......super sweet! It is machine washable... and "M" really liked the patterns in the ribbon... so kept naming them off to me and btw it's officially dubbed "Elmo's blankie"... so now not only is Elmo being dragged everywhere we go...but so is his blankie...LOL.

Huge thanks to Jennifer for sending me out a few products to try.... go check her out... she has some really cute patterns to work with (the Owl one is sooooo cute!) and she has a ton of products... from diaper bags to headbands!

Snapware - Product Review

I received 3 products from Snapware for review. The first thing was the 4 piece Glasslock set.... they are airtight and leak proof.... microwave and dishwasher safe... and the lids snap on at all sides (this is awesome)... I looooove these!!! They can even go in the freezer! Perfect for large leftovers :) The lids fit perfectly and I even did the "flip" test.... turn it completely upside down to make sure everything that's in there actually stays in...lol. They are glass....which is nicer than the regular plastic stuff.... and they're actually heavy and the glass is really thick.

The next thing I reviewed was their Small 4 layer Snap 'N Stack which is perfect for all our little crafts we've been doing as of late. It has 4 layers as well as a lid with a handle and each tray snaps onto the next one to act as the lid and make sure nothing spills out...lol. They are dishwasher safe so no worries if something spills out and it needs to be cleaned. I like that each tray fits perfectly and once its snapped in... doesn't budge. I had so many uses for this... from crafts to makeup...or even snacks for "M"... totally going to buy more to add to our stack :)

Lastly I got to try out a Ribbon Dispenser.... LOOOOVE it! It's perfect for some of my ribbon that I've been collecting... have got the hang of making bows and hair accessories with "M" so... its great. It has 2 sections... the top section (which can be switched) holds spools of ribbon...and even has slits to feed your ribbon through to keep everything neat, organized and untangled...lol. The bottom I used for some of the other tidbits I need to make her bows... and it snapped together like the other products (by just pressing down to unlatch it and up to hook it back up).

The best thing about these products is you can always add more trays to the stacks to allow for them to hold more... but can also be broken down to smaller segments. I'm definitely going to pick up some more of all 3 products actually.... totally replacing my plastic Tupperware... and ready to organize as much as I can.... bring on spring cleaning! Snapware has a ton of other products to help you organize yourself... you have to go take a look!

Thank you to Snapware for letting me try out some products... you have me hooked!

Pregnancy Organizer & Planner (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Pregnancy Organizer & Planner for review. Everyone knows that when you're planning or pregnant... everything seems more stressful...and you always feel more unorganized than normal at least I did! LOL!! This one is pretty cool...it has a clear plastic cover with snap closure and loop for a pen (that comes with!). There are 4 dividers... calendar, contacts, health and baby planning... so these should help you keep organized. The first few pages under the calendar section has lists that you can check off items you need to buy/do by trimester. Then there are some calendars and areas for notes etc. I like the last few pages called "Pregnancy Reflections" and it's also by trimester...cute touch and just enough room to write down anything you'd like to remember :)

The contact section has pages for...health care and service providers, important contacts, referrals, neighbors babysitters (and information for babysitters) and also lists of who to call when in delivery and after the baby arrives. The health section has areas for recaps of all your prenatal visits, blood work, questions for your Dr., a log of all your health care, insurance and even room to include all the info about your insurance claims...oh and a menu planner for the week too! Under baby planning, there are sections for your fave names, advice, a place to list all your books to read, websites to visit, what baby needs, what Mommy needs, shower and registry info, gift log, gift cards, mat-leave info, packing your bag for the hospital, hospital tour, breastfeeding, info for multiples, and cord blood info. WOW... so many things to think about...but I like that it's all in one place. My fave part of this planner is the stickers at the back that have labels by pregnancy week and trimester, due date etc. There are a ton including stickers for Dr. appointments... school info...vacation... and even birthdays. I also like that it has 3 different plastic pocket areas at the back to keep appointment cards and receipts. It's actually awesome! My friends know how organized I am already...and this would totally put me over the top...lol... definitely going to use this for the next baby...if and when!

Candy Land Game Keychain (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Candy Land Game Keychain for review from Wholesale Keychain. Basically it's a mini version of the game Candy Land.... 2 game pieces...and 8 cards to draw from. The board is magnetic and the men have magnets on the bottom to keep them from falling off. There's even a little drawer in the side of the box to house the men and cards. The lid of the little box opened up to reveal the board for the game...it's a little red plastic box with Candy Land stickers on it to make it look exactly like the bigger version. The only thing I wish is that there were more than 8 cards...I think it would make it more fun (for older people anyways).... "M" had a blast... obviously I had to watch her with the pieces and she couldn't play it without me... but it put a smile on her face...so that's all that matters! I also like that I can toss it in her diaper bag for when we're grabbing lunch at the mall :)

Mom Central - Dare Cheddar Cheese Bear Paws Product Review

"M" got to try out a box of Cheddar Cheese Bear Paws made by Dare Foods. They are cheese crackers... peanut free...no saturated/trans fats.. and are packed full of goodness! To be honest... "M" wasn't a huge fan... but I think it was just the shape and the fact that she's a Goldfish-a-holic...so anything a bit different takes her a while to get into.
These were made in a peanut-free facility..which means... yes parents... they can go to school with the little ones! (I'm not looking forward to having to follow all the rules and regulations when it comes to food etc.. that's when you really need to start getting creative!)

My thoughts.....they tasted really...really...similar to the Goldfish crackers..so I don't have a doubt that the box will soon be empty!

Thanks to Mom Central for letting us try out a box!

The Potty Bootcamp - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a copy of The Potty Bootcamp from Dr. Suzanne Riffel. Right off the bat... I noticed... this was what I'm calling a "Coles notes" version of a few different styles of potty training. The book is a 49 page cheat sheet for parents trying to potty train their kids. Suzanne goes through whether or not your child is ready... how to tell if they are...how to figure out which "way" is the best way for your family, by giving you the most common methods... and what exactly to do. She even out lines a shopping list for you... and a flow chart for the bootcamp... (trust me as a person that likes visuals... it put it into perspective and simplified the whole process for me.)

Now I have to be honest... I would consider "M" potty trained as of just before her 2nd bday (22 months corrected age). Here's what I did to get her out of diapers.....
#1... we've been talking about "the potty" since October... (with a few successes along the way).....
#2... I didn't pressure her whatsoever (actually... she was totally ready... and I wasn't)...
#3.... I asked her all the time if she had to go... (probably in intervals of 60 min...I didn't time it... just kinda glanced over at the clock once in a while..or waited for her to tell me)....
#4... when we finally took the plunge and decided to try "underwear", we only had 1 accident on the first day and 1 on the second day....(and it happened when I actually got distracted with a phone call and a door bell.... so...really... they were both my fault).
#5... I put her in pull-ups when we go out..."just in case"... but she never actually goes in them which is awesome!
#6... nap time and bed time... I put her in diapers... just for the simple fact that we still have some... and even though the majority of the time they're dry in the morning... I feel more comfortable knowing that even if there is an accident...she'll stay dry. She's still in a crib so it's not like she can get out of bed by herself and run to the bathroom (mind you..there have been a few nights where I heard her on the monitor calling me... and she asked to go to the bathroom).
#7... AMEN for sticker charts... and Hersey kisses...she got a sticker and a chocolate after each success! #8.... if there was a full day without an accident or wet diaper after naps/morning... she got a "reward".... no I didn't go crazy... I got a few books and crafts for us to do together.

I just went with the flow of things.... and this....and most of the steps I actually happened to use were all in Suzanne's book. Man... I wish I got this book a bit earlier....lol... I stressed out over this whole situation for so long...and I think The Potty Bootcamp is great for putting your mind at ease...and really simplifying everything. "M" is in the maintenance phase now... and honestly... it's a pain in the butt... I'm now in the habit of asking her if she has to go... before bed... after naps... before leaving the house... getting home from ANYTHING....lol... it's annoying;..but hey!... amen to no diapers!

Now I'm hoping "M" doesn't jump off the deep end and completely forget everything.... if she does... no worries... there are steps to help get your child back on track too! So....don't think I'll be putting this book on the shelf any time soon... it's an official coffee table book for the next 3 months! Thanks Suzanne!

CSN Stores - Product Review

I got to choose a product to review from CSN Stores.... man it took me a long time to find something....lol.. they sell a TON of stuff...and all name brand. I decided to try a 1/4" thick, extra long...yoga mat. I figured...why not.. I'm totally into yoga now and was hoping that this one would help the issues I've been having with my back. The mat is a JFit...black... sticky...light weight mat. This was my first time using a sticky mat... and really... there's no turning back! LOL... I felt more secure when doing the poses and because of the length...I didn't have any problem... well... other than trying to keep the dog out of my face when I was doing floor poses and pilates...LOL.

The mat is made of durable foam...and has a waffle weave...its extra thick and it's skidless....I really liked this one. I did find that I still needed to add my old mat underneath when I was using it on the hardwood floor just for a bit more padding. I also liked that I could just wash it with soap and water....and that I didn't have to buy a special type of wash or spray for it.

Thanks to CSN for letting me choose something to review! You were awesome to work with :)

Receiving Cuddles - Product Review

Receiving Cuddles made this beautiful blankie for a friend of mine. Her daughter is turned 1 in February... so I thought... why not have this done for her special day. I asked her Mommy to ship Receiving Cuddles some of her fave receiving blankets she used with "O" (5 of them)... what Receiving Cuddles did was transform those old blankies into a quilt... with a satin backing and border. Even a few cute ribbons were added for that extra special touch!

I looooved that fact that I was able to choose the satin color and the little accent pieces as well. The blanket was made in no time... I actually think it took longer to ship there and back than for it to be made...lol. Cristalee did an awesome job.... the way she mixed the different patterns... came out beautiful.... the stitching is done perfectly... and everything is lined up nice and straight...even the way she finished off the corners looked perfect!

Little Miss O loved her new blankie!... and so did her Mommy by the way. Everyone was surprised and everyone just had to take a look at it! When I explained the background to the actual patchwork.....and how it was O's old receiving blankets...they all loved it even more. It looks perfect in her room... so HUGE thanks to Cristalee for making O's special blankie! It was definitely a perfect pressie!

Stuck on You - Product Review

Stuck on You sent me a set of Clothing Labels (robot theme), 2 sets of Vinyl name labels (caterpillars and singing birds themes) and their brand new Personalized Learning Book (numbers 1-10). The clothing labels are really easy to use... they are iron on...really simple to use... and are permanent. I stuck a few on some of my fave clothes of hers...and they made it through the wash and regular wear and tear too. Plus they are super cute and colorful!

The vinyl labels are awesome....they are really cute! I love the caterpillar ones...they can be added to anything you'd like. I added a few to some of her sippy cups and travel dishes. All I had to do was make sure the items were clean and dry... stick them on and wait 48 before sticking them in the dishwasher..to make sure they stay stuck! They can go in the microwave and dishwasher...wont fade and are non-toxic.

Finally, the personalized learning book....it has M's name on the cover and on every page of the book. The left side of the page is a large number (1-10) and the right side is a picture...with a question for her ie. "M, can you count the number of tea cups in the picture?" and there is even a space for the date of when they coloured the picture. Its actually really cute... the pictures are cartoon-like and fun.. and there's even a page at the end for her to draw a picture of whatever she likes. The colors are awesome...and she could identify almost all the pictures in the book.

Stuck on You carries a wide variety of products...check them out....anything from personalized t-shirts to pencil cases and canvases....so many designs to choose from too!

Huge thanks to Stephanie at Stuck on You! She's never going to lose anything...especially at the babysitters or school... (sigh... I don't even want to think about school just yet...lol).

The Happy Handle Bar Shopping Cart Cover‏ (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a shopping cart cover from The Happy Handle Bar. It is machine washable.... easy to use (I swear) and can fit in the diaper bag with no problem. It has areas to attach toys or soothers.... and 2 thick elastic bands to hold a bottle and sippy if needed. Ok.. so what you do is clip the cover to the handle bar of the shopping cart (there is a plastic form in the cover to make it easy to clip)...than... you attach the other end to the front of the cart (where your child puts their hands)...so it kind of acts like a sling in between the handle bar and the seat part of the cart.

I got the pattern in the puck.. it's colourful and has bugs...like bees and butterflies and flowers...all over it. My husband likes the pattern because its bright and attracts attention... my personally.. would have liked it to be more low key or plain... but that's just me...I would have looooved to see a damask print! They have 6 different styles to choose from...overall I liked the function of it and that it rolled up into itself...it didn't take up much room in the diaper bag and was great to leave in the car. Also, it wasn't like other covers that need it's own bag to carry around etc...this one was way more convenient.

Thanks to The Happy Handle Bar and Tomoson for letting me do the review!

Thera Wise - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received 2 products from Thera Wise. The VpR Vaporizing Rub and the Ac+ Natural Acne Ointment. The VpR Vapourising Rub came right in time... I've been sick with the flu and I actually used this numerous times a day to help with my congestion. It can also be used for people with seasonal allergies too! Really... this saved me at night... it felt like it warmed up a bit and the vapors were minty.... I at least got a few good night sleeps while using it. The thing about Thera Wise is that all their products are natural and even vegan friendly....so you know that they are save to use.

The Ac+ Natural Acne Ointment I liked... I found that it took a lot of the redness out of my skin. I liked that once it was rubbed in you couldn't even notice it was on... which is great for day time. I haven't used it long enough to see if it prevents acne at all.... but really I don't have a ton to keep under control. I was happy that my skin looked even in complexion.

I liked that Thera Wise uses all natural bases to their products, there are no chemicals and some of the ingredients promote skin renewal and help repair damaged skin.

Thanks to Thera Wise for helping me get through this flu! I couldn't have done it without you!

Untangled Living - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a 5 piece stainless steel dishware set from Untangled Living. It is dishwasher safe  and I found the sizes were perfect for "M". Included in the 5 piece set is a plate, bowl, cup, spoon and fork...and we received the gecko print engraved on each piece (I thought this was a nice touch and the quality is awesome!).

I sent it through the dishwasher as soon as I received it and I was really impressed that it came out looking the exact same way as when I put it in. Especially with it being stainless steel (and its brushed too). You can pick either a butterfly or gecko design... both are super cute..so no matter which one you choose you will be totally happy with it Its durable... mine hit the floor a few times...and there were no dings or scratches at all. I love that these are reusable, long lasting and safe for "M" to use over and over again...plus... they're really pretty and if I leave them on the counter they blend in and don't look like regular children's dishware sets. My fave was the bowl and spoon... I ate yogurt out of it a few times when "M" wasn't awake yet...and I found it was a perfect size for a small breakfast before running out.

If you're at the Green Living Show in Toronto... April 15-17... make sure you stop by to say hi! Don't forget to keep an eye out for all the new products that will be launching!

Super huge thanks to Sue for sending me out one of her amazing sets! If I swing by the show this year I'll be sure to stop by and say hi :)

Barefoot Books - Product Review and Giveaway!!

Barefoot Books sent me 3 children's books to review with "M". We got..."Whole World" which comes with a sing-a-long CD. It is an illustrated version of the song.... the pictures are kid-friendly...and not cluttered with a ton of words on each page... it's literally the words to the song. My fave part of the book is at the end where they have a "Did you know" section with some cool definitions and information about global warming etc.

I also received 2 other books... "Who's in the Garden" and "Who's in the Forrest". Both have the same author and illustrator. These 2 books have holes in them to see the animal on the next page. "M" really liked taking a peek at the next page.... (so you see who's on the next page... and when you turn the page you see what each animal is doing. The garden one has a rabbit, frog, bee, crow, and mole. The forrest one has a squirrel, fox, bear, and owl. I really liked the illustrations in these books... they were fun...funky and very unique. They use a lot of different patterns and animals so it was a nice change for "M". Plus, she loves animals

I really liked that all 3 books had really funky, colorful illustrations....and rhyming text. They totally kept M's attention and she actually made me read them to her 2 times in a row! Don't forget to check out a free story HERE!

The Inflatable Potty Seat Company - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a pink On-the-GO Inflatable Potty Seat. Basically it is a portable seat that you blow up so you can take it anywhere! I thought right away that this would be perfect for the cottage and visiting! It folds up small... has a large release valve so the air comes out quickly... and blows up really fast too. I liked that it had a back to lean on and the handles were perfect size for "M". I really liked that it was soft and didn't have any sharp edges that could pinch "M" while she was using it. The best part of it was the inflatable part that held the seat on the toilet. It is a smaller inflatable section to make sure your little one doesn't slip right off. It also came with a repair kit...for the "just in case" times.

Thanks to Mike from The Inflatable Potty Seat Company for sending me out one to try.... it will definitely be coming with us when we travel!

My Bear Haven - Product Review

I received a blonde doll with a brown dress to review for My Bear Haven. The doll came shipped with its own stuffing, birth certificate and outfit for "M" to make. We stuffed the doll tied up the back and closed the velcro. Once we dressed the doll "M" played with it.. it was a bit bigger than I expected so literally it was almost the same size as her..LOL.

The stitching is done really well... her hair it a felt material...but the doll is washable... so no problems there....and all the facial features are embroidered. "M" brought her new friend over to her kitchen and made her tea...it was really cute!

My Bear Haven has a bunch of different toy styles...options and accessories. They even have Buddie Grams and parties with different options and packages. This is kind of like a Build a Bear but they have more options...different products and have the ability to ship it to you so you can set up your own party at home. I thought that was really cute.... maybe M's next birthday I can have some of her little friends over and they can make their own dolls! That would be soooo cute for a little girl's bday!

They even carry Jumbies and Melissa and Doug (my fave!) products....so really... you can grab a bunch of things for any occasion and have it shipped right to you!

Thanks so much to My Bear Haven for sending me out M's new little friend!

Bebek - Product Review

Bebek was nice enough to send me and 5 friends a Natural Extension Straw Cup with handle! (how nice are they...like really). I let "M" choose the color she wanted and she picked a blue one... surprise...surprise... LOL. Ok.. so I'll start with what we think of the cup. M loves being able to carry it around by the handle... gave her some feeling of independence I think... plus.. I think she just thought it was really cool. She picked it up and started using it right away...so no issues there... and I thought it was really easy to clean. I also liked how the lid folded over the straw to keep it clean and to prevent leaks. It's dishwasher safe... and BPA free... also..I liked that the handle could fold down on either side of the cup and that it was comfortable for both M and I to tote around.

So... now.. what do the others have to say:

CS - Loves how easy it is to clean and how fast her little one took to it considering they have never tried a straw sippy cup before. She also liked that she could clip the sippy straight to the stroller using the handle.
JC - Says her little one loves it (and she's been having sippy cup issues for a while)
NM - Says "O" doesn't get it just quite yet...but they're working on it and she likes the shape of the bottle
NM - Says "N" had no problem using it or dragging it around with him.
DI - Really likes the mechanisms of the cup, the handle and the flip top....but her little "M" is still working on how to use it.

Huge thanks to Bebek for letting a few Mommy's and I try these out! Hopefully we can work together again soon!

Gaiam - Product Review

I received 7... yes....7 DVD's from Gaiam to review. It was like Christmas morning at my place when I received the package! I think I have some sort of addiction to workout videos... however never usually stick to them. Being able to try all of these will let me do a different one every day (with having a rest day in between). They were even nice enough to send me 2 kids Yoga dvd's so 2 of my workout days "M" can participate :)

2 DVD's I received are called YogaKids (ages 3-6).....One uses the alphabet to teach children the yoga ABC's. It's only about 30 minutes long...which is nice... quick.. and can keep their attention. "M" walked away numerous times... but really she's 2... so I couldn't expect too much but I did reel her in to complete the whole thing. I loved that this was really interactive and that she could learn her alphabet (right now she knows about 6 letters...and they're random...lol). Some of the poses were a little too advanced for her... but the majority of them she need little or no help. She loved that there were a lot of animals (which she's obsessed with animals and made sure she made the sounds associated with all of them while we were going through the poses). The second YogaKids video which teaches the children the basic poses of yoga...was a bit more difficult for her to do but included more animals...fun and really cute songs. Most of the times she just danced... but I figured as long as it gets her moving... I'm happy :) I really liked doing the videos with her right after her nap... I'm more than sure we will be doing these again!

Yogalosophy was the next DVD I tried out...90 minutes....I liked doing this one first thing in the morning...it gave me a pick-me-up for the entire day. It had the workout portion and than the fully loaded challenge... which realistically there was no way I was going to be able to do it... but with practice hopefully soon! I learned the hard way that I'm totally not as bendy as I use to be and not even close to being in any shape to pretty much do anything... LOL. Long road ahead I guess eh? I did find Mandy's voice really soothing... some videos I've tried in the past and found myself shutting them off because I couldn't stand listening to the instructor any longer...lol. Mandy kept my attention... and actually, I can't wait to try it again!

Flat Abs Pilates kicked my butt! Good Lord was I sore the next day... this one definitely put my abs to the test... and they failed... miserably... practice..practice...practice! I had muscles hurting that I didn't even know where in my body... that's when you know you've had a good workout! I liked that this one was 45 min... and I figured out how to do most of it "my" way until I build up enough strength to follow along 100%. Man am I going to be proud the day I can get through this whole one! My goal is by the end of May to be able to do it... twice a week... that... we'll see! LOL!

5 Day Fit Trouble Zone Solutions was another one that made me "ouchie" for a few days... for me it was waaay too long... but that's because I did it in a row for reviewing purposes. They have it broken down into 5 different workouts...which I will never... and I mean... never do in a row...ever...ever... again...lol. Yoga Sculpt was hard for me because... really ever since I had "M"..my balance sucks! So that section is a work in progress. Pilates Lift and Firm... nooo chance! LOL... I could do some of the poses... but really... I had to do the majority of it on a modified scale. Lower Body Burn... is exactly that... man...lol...after those 30 min.. I couldn't even walk up the stairs. Cardio Kickbox I really did have fun with... I think it was my fave of all of them. Hip Openers... another.... ouch! Soooo not fun for me. Really though... I know I'm out of shape... I had my friend try this out... and she liked it... me... just going to take a lot of practice. I really like how different each section is... all are 30 min except the Yoga Sculpt one.

Ripped in 30 is my new adventure.... lol.. I started p90x and really... didn't like it... but this one with Jillian Michaels.... is killer! I looooved this one! there are 4 24-min workouts... 3 min of strength...2 of cardio and 1 of ads.  Once again.. SORE the next day and some of the harder stuff I couldn't do.. but always kept moving or doing a version that was a bit easier for me. This I think is the one that I'm going to try for the full 30 days that it says to. I liked Jillian's voice in this DVD... she's stern but fun!
Finally I reviewed Weight Loss Yoga. It has 4 workouts... conditioning for weight loss, total body yoga, yoga abs, and chair yoga. I ended up doing all for of the workouts (total of 107 min). There were a few poses that I couldn't do but I totally broke a sweat and felt FANTASTIC after doing this one and taking a quick shower. This one was mainly traditional poses which I really liked making it super fun.

Super huge thanks to Gaiam for sending me out soooo many new things to try... at least 4 out of the 7 will be something I do regularly... and the bonus is... don't have to go to the gym to do it! Guess the home gym will start getting some use.... LOL. Plus I did some yoga research and found a new mat...1/2 bolster and some other accessories I can use during any...actually almost all the workouts!

TBR Photography (Event) - Product Review

I had the pleasure of having Aaron from TBR Photography shoot M's birthday party! Aaron came early to do his test pics to check for lighting...take some pics of our decorations as well as the dessert table and decorations that LILY set up (the were the event planner...the brownies in the picture they made). The mini cupcake flower bouquet was made by a friend of mine (on the right).

Aaron was all over the place for the 3 hours of the party, making sure to take pics off all the kiddies...so I can send their parents a cute pic...as well as follow little miss bday girl around and grab some gorgeous shots of her! Trust me... this takes a lot of work... I have to take a million pics just to get a few good shots of her.... she never sits still... so having a quick trigger finger makes all the difference...lol.

Aaron totally captured the whole atmosphere of our Sesame Street theme....and I personally think made all the hard work look amazing! Poor guy wouldn't even take a break to eat... so I sent him home with a doggy bag and some goodies for his girls. The best part was... it was he was really sneaky when it came to getting the pics... I honestly wouldn't have even known I was there....so I'm dying to see all the pics. I can't believe "M" is 2!! Where did the time go? I was running around the whole time so really... I didn't take 1 pic... to be honest, I didn't even bring my camera! Aaron and Tracy are awesome to work with.... if you guys are ever looking for someone to help you guys out... give me a shout...lol....I can get pretty fancy with a lense ;) LOL...

Huge thanks to TBR Photography for capturing the memories I wanted.... I look forward to working with you again....

Whirl-a-Style - Product Review

I got to try out a Whirl-a-Style! It is thick polyethylene band with a snap together end and a slit down the middle of it.  They do not tangle in your hair, and you don't need any clips or additional pins to help keep your hair in the bun.

What you do is put your hair in a ponytail but instead of using an elastic you place your hair through the Whirl-a-Style... slide it down to the end of your hair...then roll your hair back onto itself and clip it together.... and done! Literally it was that quick. If there are any places where the Whirl-a-Style is seen...you can use loose hair to cover it by tucking it over the edges.

They also have a few other products that allow you to "bling" up your hair....so take a look and see if it's totally something you'd like to try. They have a bunch of different colours as well...5 different sizes...and a great for those active ladies...throw a couple in your gym or yoga bag to put up your hair on your way for a workout. I actually liked that it was really simple to use... and I'll use it again for sure...especially when I need the building ground for a funky up do.

Thanks to Whirl-a-Style for sending me out one to try....I love that I can throw it in the baby bag for when I need it :)

LILY ("Life Is Loving You") - Product Review

I was approached by LILY - "Life Is Loving You"... an event planning company run by Maryann and Corrine. They specialize in event decor and design....and man... can they busy out some awesome ideas. Corrine and I connected and discussed options for M's birthday party. Me being the planner I am....was totally open to new ideas...a fresh look...and to be honest...a kick butt party for "M".

LILY designed and made a Sesame Street sign with M's name on it that I could see being used for the entrance to the location (I had the idea..just not talented enough to actually make it...lol).... Big Bird's footprints... characters.... a banner made of flower cutouts with "Happy 2nd Birthday M" hung with ribbon, I left them in charge of the dessert table and centre pieces as well. The centre pieces as you can see (all photos are taken by TBR Photography) were multi-coloured gumballs with a Gerber daisy.....super cute on the solid table cloths!

The deserts were AWESOME! They made Cookie Monster cupcakes!!! Turned out fantastic and were totally a hit at the party... everyone couldn't stop talking about them! They also made little brownies and marshmallow pops with chocolate... and literally just full of yummy-ness! LOL. They even brought cute bags for the little ones to pack up extra treats to take home with them.....including gummy candies in bags with Sesame Street sticker closures! (I noticed ladies...totally cute!)

I can't thank Maryann and Corrine enough for all their hard work, creative ideas... making some of my visions a reality...reeling me in when I needed to be.... and being AWESOME to work with! I gave you the theme and you totally ran with it! "M" had a blast and everyone was in awe of your little Cookie Monsters! If anyone is looking for a planner that can far exceed your expectations... email them at info@lilyforlife.com to set up an appointment :)

What an awesome day! Thanks again ladies!

SNUGGSTUFF - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I got to review 2 cool products from SNUGGSTUFF. The first of the 2 was a Snuggrugg..... a baby blanket made of muslin cotton... which is breathable... machine washable and have ribbons added to the edges to keep your little one interested and for added texture. It is also handmade..love! I really liked that you can let your baby sleep with this... even when they are younger than "M" is... the ribbons are stitched numerous times and if they happen to fall asleep with it.. the weave of the muslin is really loose and allows room for air to flow properly through it. The prints available in these are super cute... I haven't seen anything like these... especially in muslin. I received the duck pattern... sooooo cute!

I also received a plain cream Snuggmugg... which is a coffee sleeve that is reusable and machine washable too! It is made of faux sheepskin... fits perfectly on a Starbucks cup... who am I kidding... it fits on all of them... I'm just a coffee snob...lol...but it fits great on the plastic cups they use for the iced drinks too! I liked that I could throw it in the center console of the car... then right in my pocket, diaper bag, or purse ready for when I run in to grab a cup. There are some really cute prints available  or you can even have it personalized too! When I went to go grab a coffee at least 2 or 3 people ask me where I got the Snuggmugg.... such a good idea.

Thanks so much! M loves her mini "blankie" and my coffee in the morning is just that much better!

ShāToBu - Product Review and Giveaway!!

I received a High Waist to Knee Shaper from ShāToBu. What it is a body slimmer that helps you look slimmer all while helping you to burn 12% more calories while wearing it! This one goes right down to your knee....which I liked because it didn't roll up and also didn't leave indents in my skin. I looooved that it was high waist-ed ...literally right up to my rib cage. I didn't have to fix it once... it stayed up too... didn't roll down... and really.. I didn't even know I was wearing it. It smooths and slims to help you look like you have the hourglass figure you've always wanted. There's also a little extra help in the tummy and love handle section to help you look smooth in those trouble spots. I actually wore it with jeans...no problem.

You're probably asking how it can help you burn that many calories just by wearing it..... well it's because they have used resistance bands built into the actual slimmer. It makes your body work to do those regular daily activities... so yes.. I will wear it while doing the house work... LOL. Don't think by wearing this that you're going to break a sweat... it has breathable cotton and feels comfortable while helping you stay dry.

Thanks to ShāToBu for sending me out one to try out!
