Baby Gourmet - Product Review & HUGE Giveaway!

We received some Baby Gourmet samples to try out...and man does "M" love them. Yes, I know...it's "baby food" but really...with all the nutrients... and the cool packaging, she didn't know the difference and she polished off 2 of them at one time LOL! There are 3 stages...6+ months, 7+ months and 8+ months.... and come in a ton of different flavors and textures (we received 3 different ones). All the ingredients are organic which is awesome and the packaging can stand up, is resealable and can also be refrigerated once opened. They all do not have added sugar or salt... and some of them are even gluten free!

We received Vanilla, Banana and Berry Risotto which was finished in the first 10 minutes it was opened...lol. This specific blend is a stage 3 (8+ months) that includes organic risotto to help encourage the little ones learn to swallow and chew foods with texture. Tropical Banana Bliss was another hit.... it includes banana, and mango..."M" inhaled this one too... she loved it. It was also a stage 3 baby food. Finally Juicy Pear and Garden Greens (Stage 1) was tried... she actually ate it! Which made me completely happy...because it has broccoli and spinach in it.... so...perfect for sneaking in those veggies! I tried all 3 of them, my fave was the Vanilla, Banana and Berry Risotto.... it had a sweet taste... reminded me more of a dessert that anything!

I like that not only babies can eat Baby Gourmet products, they're perfect for throwing in the travel bag, and really, we've been using them as a healthy snack which is perfect for our busy lifestyle. Bonus...Wal-mart carries them!!! So, I'm totally going to keep an eye out for them next time....

Huge thanks to Baby Gourmet for sending us out a ton of stuff to try out! They were awesome and we're going to try and track down some of the apple crisp one.... sounds yummy!

Heart Carabiner Keychain (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Heart Carabiner Keychain from Wholesalekeychain.com. It is 2.5" high by 2.5" wide, metallic red and comes with a silver keyring.
The keychain was a lot stronger than I thought it was going to be, but if it was thicker I think it would be even better! I use a carabiner on my keys regularly (I like the super thick round ones). This one is cute but probably 1/2 the thickness of my regular one, so I'm a little weary to use it every day. "M" loved it and used it to clip her changepurse to the inside of her backpack.....it's actually perfect for that purpose!

Thanks to Wholesalekeychain.com and Tomoson for letting me do another review!

For more information and ordering please visit   http://www.wholesalekeychain.com/

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Life as we know it comes to a complete hault!

New post is up on Oh Baby!

Thanks!

What to Expect - Product Review and Giveaway!!

When I was approached by What to Expect... I was really excited to grab some of their books for review. I'm sure you all have heard of "What to Expect when you're Expecting".... or as most of us Mom's call it... "The baby bible". It tells you what is going on with your body every step as you go through your pregnancy. I was also sent... What to Expect: Before you're Expecting, The First Year and The Second Year! Wow... there was so much information.. I honestly didn't know what to do with it. Now... considering I used the Expecting one when I was pregnant.... I jumped straight to The Second Year version. I figured that would be a good place to start...lol.

What to Expect The Second Year... literally has been my life for the last 7 months... I can't believe she's 2 and a 1/2... where did the time go? Anyway... I used information about anything from tantrums... to sleep/eating patterns... to how to fit their shoes properly... which by the way...M's were too small for her... arghh.. lol.

I could literally go on and on about these books... but most of you already know where I'm coming from. The first year talks about what to expect every month including what to do in an emergency. I actually used this one for finding out how to clean a scrape properly... we had out first "real" boo-boo...lol... bandage and all... ** sigh **

The What to Expect Before.... I actually took a good look at because it has some great tips on how to get healthy before having a baby. Not that we're thinking about it at all.... but good to know and really, with what happened the first time... next time (if there will ever be one) I want to make sure I'm as healthy as I can be waaaay before the thought even crosses our minds. It also explains the processes of getting pregnant, and provides information about if there are difficulties in that area.

Overall... killer books that will remain on my shelf for many years! Thanks to What to Expect for contacting me, asking for a review... and offering a giveaway! Awesome!

Bike Glow - Product Review

I received a purple Bike Glow for review. What it is... its a thin rope light that wraps around the frame of your bike to keep you visible when riding at night. It comes in a bunch of different colours....we received purple...which "M" loved. I liked how pliable and easy it was to install... 2 AA batteries... a velcro strap and a zip-tie....that's it.  We put it on her trike....she thought it was awesome... then asked for it to be put on her wagon... we did... well after 4 or 5 different places it ended up being wrapped around her play house in the backyard. She wanted "lights on in house" so she got what she asked for lol.

I like that there are so many uses for this product, but the main one is to promote safety in low light conditions...and it does just that. We even have already planned to wrap it around her bag at Halloween. I can't wait till she's able to ride her bike/trike by herself, then we can be rest assured that everyone else will be able to see her and ensure that she'll come home safely.

The rope is 10 feet long....it has 3 settings...on...slow flash and fast flash. The 2 AA's will last from 50-120 hours depending on the settings you use...and only weighs 2 ounces...which I think is crazy!

Thanks to Bike Glow for letting us try one out... it will be used in many ways!

TruKid - Product Review, Discount Code and Giveaway!!!!

A while ago I testes out a bunch of products from TruKid. They approached me again to test out their new Sunny Days Sport SPF 30+ sunscreen and I asked if I could test out their Dancing Hair Detangler because I've been noticing little miss curly Sue's tresses are out of control even with the expensive ones they seem just to make her hair greasy.

The Sunny Days Sport sunscreen is all natural, is SPF 30 and is really thick and stays on well! I tried it on "M"... she didn't burn..it wasn't greasy. Had to rub in in really well...but I liked that I could tell if I missed any spots :) It is water resistant which is awesome because she's definitely a little fish!...unscented...non-toxic...and can be used by everyone in the fam!

The Dancing Hair Detangler is not sticky and I found that she squirmed a bit less when I used it. "M" still gets crazy hair at the back of her head.... almost like when some babies get the bald spot... except hers is just one big tangled mess! It smells like oranges...which she liked...was easy to spray and her comb slid straight through. I loooooved that it was all natural and I swear it wasn't greasy at all!

TruKid is all about helping children grow up and create healthy habits, which personally, if extremely important. Head over to their website to get the checklists you can download.... I already have a responsibility chart for "M"...yes I know she's 2 1/2 but I swear it works. I took a look at some of the items on their checklist and noticed that we're pretty aligned which makes me think I'm doing a pretty good job!

Thanks to TruKid for coming back for another review and for offering a discount code and giveaway!!!

Piczzle (Tomoson) - Product Review

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

I received a 100 piece custom made jigsaw puzzle from Piczzle.com. I got to personalize it with a pic of "M" and one of her fave furry buddies :) The quality was waaaay better than I thought it was going to be. They were nice and thick.. the coating was really nice and the pieces were cut really well. I loved that the box had the picture I choose on the front and the pieces came in a Ziploc bag inside the box.
Totally not going to lie...it took me forever to actually do the photo puzzle...lol. We had fun as a family putting it together... "M" loved that it was actually a picture of her... we may even end up framing the puzzle itself...lol. It is nice and glossy and no issues with the printing at all.
