Hip-Peas - Product Review & Giveaway!

hip-peas-detangler1I received 3 products from Hip-Peas for M to try out on her crazy curly locks! We got to try out the Hair Detangler, Curl Tamer and Natural Kids Hair Balm. All their products are paraben, sulfate, petrochemical, phthalate and cruelty free.
The detangler was great at getting through her hair super fast...and it smelled awesome... even M noticed...LOL. Smelled kind of berry like...but not overpowering. I liked that the detangler worked really fast and didn't leave her hair greasy. It also kept her curls in rid of any frizzies and let her regular fly-aways get lost. I love, love, loved this!
hip-peas-curl-tamer1The curl tamer is a God send. This one she didn't understand as much as the others... .couldn't get why I was putting cream in her hair...but I explained...that it was to make her curls perfect... LOL. She bought it and let me run my hands through her her and fig-it with it. The one thing I noticed right away was that even when her hair was wet, the curls looked more defined. When I let her hair dry naturally... the curls held, looked shiny... they were soft and there were no frizzy ones. They didn't get weighed down...they were bouncy and perfect ringlets. This 100% was my favorite of the 3, not gonna lie though...will be buying all these when we run out!
hip-peas-hair-balm1The natural kids hair balm was great to slick her hair back when she wanted a ponytail. I haven't been able to find a product that has kept her little curls flat for longer that 20 mins. Well...this one did... and I'm SOOO happy, you have no idea. I also rubbed it in my hands and worked it through her curls to help define them and it was awesome and keeping them tight and not letting them fall. I...acutally use this one for my little fly-aways too.... I liked that it doesn't weigh my hair down.
Huuuuge thanks to Hip-Peas....everything worked and smelled great, I didn't have to worry about what was going in her hair and they were the first products that worked on her long curly hair. These are making the LIST!

HABA Games - Product Review

I received 2 games from Haba for review. Animal upon Animal is for children 4+ and My First Orchard is for children 2+.

Haba Animal Upon Animal
We tried Animal upon Animal first. The concept of the game is you need to stack the animals on top of each other without letting it fall. Roll the dice, see what you get and either stack on top of the gator which is the initial starting point or add on to either side of it if asked. I found M really liked this game. It let her practice her fine motor skills and learn to be more patient when trying to do something. It also taught her that it's not fun to be a sore loser. She knocked things over a few times, and in those instances she needed to take the pieces into her possession. First one to get rid of all their animals win! I really liked that the pieces were made of wood. I caught her a few times playing with them on their own and playing pretend. It was great!

The My First Orchard game was really cute... she got it right away and could even set it up and play by herself after the first time. There are 4 trees  (with 4 pieces of fruit on each). The object of the game is to roll the dice....if a colour is rolled you pick that colour fruit off the tree and place it in the basket. If you roll the crow... he gets to move 1 more space forward. You want to collect all the fruit before the crow makes it to the end! I like that M "got it" right away. She also liked playing with the fruit in her I have to keep an eye that these pieces don't magically end up in some other toy box!

Overall.... both games were totally fun to play, were educational and very, very well made! Any time I'm looking for a present for our family or someone else's I will definitely be keeping an eye out for Haba games, LOVED THEM!

You can buy both games online!

Stretch Mark Treatment (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a jar of Dr. Max Powers Stretch Mark Treatment. Basically it's for those who are prone to getting stretch marks. The cream provides nutrients to help promote elasticity and collagen (to prevent/reduce appearance of stretch marks).

Great part about the's organic, hypoallergenic....and safe for pregnant women. I did get stretch marks when I was pregnant with M because when I got sick I swelled very quickly. I noticed when I used the cream that my skin was super soft and any stretch marks I do have turned pinker...which basically means that it does promote healing.

The only thing I didn't like, and maybe it was my jar... it was super runny at the beginning, I think it was the heat. I found it really hard to put on without it running. The times following the first application were better, the cream was more of a mousse texture, which I liked much better!

Overall, if the texture was thicker, I could see myself using this product. Thanks for sending me some to try out!
