TruBaby Bubbly Baby Body & Hair Wash (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a bottle of TruBaby Bubbly Baby Body and Hair Wash for review. I've reviewed a few products for TruKid in the past, so I was excited to try their baby line on little T. This is natural and free of parabens, phthalates...bpa...and gluten. I really liked the light scent and LOVED the gave you just the perfect amount. T has started to have more sensitive skin...this was great, he didn't break out at all and he wasn't bothered by the essential oils in it either.
I also liked that I could use the wash all over him... didn't have to switch or stay away from his face...and that it foamed up really well...without leaving a residue. New fave!! Thanks to TruBaby and Tomoson for sending us out a bottle to try out.

Affichionado's (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received the Little Red Riding Hood motif from Affichionado's for review. I was super excited to do this review....we just finished the playroom and I thought this would be a perfect addition to the empty walls.

The quality is awesome... its printed on recycled paper, the colors are vibrant and I love the edginess of it. It's totally me! I also liked the structure of the story and how the words varied in size and color. It's very modern, I liked the style... and that it is a limited edition. They don't print more than 450 pieces and some they only print 250!

The size (18 x 24) is perfect for one of my larger walls in the playroom...just have to run out and grab a simplistic frame to make sure it doesn't take away from the art itself.

There are a bunch of different designs to choose from.... I was stuck between this one and Alice in Wonderland! They also have free shipping on orders over 2 prints which is great because pricing for this one is only $39.90 each.

Hair Shadz (Tomoson) - Product Review

I received a Hair Shadz for review. It is an all natural micronized mineral colored scalp sunscreen. It has SPF 15 and is a 3 in 1 product...that can be used as a dry shampoo, helps blends roots of colored hair and obviously for sun protection.

I really liked the applicator is easy to use and doesn't allow a ton of the powder to come out at one time (there is 3 settings).... making it mess free and okay to throw in a diaper bag. There are a bunch of colors to choose from so everyone has a shade to match their hair color.

I did like it as a dry shampoo.... tried it a few times in between showers to test, and liked that any oil was dried out. Color was a pretty close match, I don't dye my hair so I didn't have any roots to test on. I also like that it has SPF 15 in it... I always forget to wear a hat in the summer and I'm usually the last one to get sunscreen on.... never would have thought about my scalp until now. I liked that it was all natural and safe on everyone in the house. Ingredients include rice powder and orange peel oil.

After trying this out... I will be throwing this in the ball bag for game days to make sure I remember to not only put sunscreen on the kids! Scalp cancer cases have risen....need to make sure everyone is taken care of!

February LittleEcoFootprint Box Review

I received my first box for review from LittleEcoFootprint as one of their Mom Reviewers! I was super excited when I was asked and really anxious to get when I opened the mail this week... it was like Christmas morning!

Lets get down to business.... what was in the box this month? Products from 8 companies! There was a $5 gift card from - they have everything you need to keep you green from bump to baby and on! They are based in home town! Wow... they have a ton of stuff... I can't even decide where to spend the $5...I'll be looking around to see what I use it towards!

Bannor Toys sent a wooden car. It is cute... M loved it...and the fact that they hand pick the wood and each toy is made start to finish in Iowa. I took a look at their site... OMG... LOVE the wooden block set!
Caspar Babypants CD called More Please! I actually really liked! I liked that the songs were upbeat and different. Not your typically kids CD and M keeps asking to play it in the car, so really... you know it was a good one!

Eco Parent Magazine I'm officially addicted too! There is anything and everything in this mag...except you guessed it... all eco friendly! I am also an avid mag reader so learning about how to make herbal marinades... omg... killer! I HAVE to try it!

The GAIA products I liked...I did like the baby moisturizer better than the soothing lotion. I found the soothing lotion too thick for my taste, loved the smell though. The baby moisturizer went on smooth and didn't irritate T's skin. Loved it.
I got to try some sample chocolates from Mercury Chocolates. These are high quality...I tried the double chocolate and the rainier cherry...these are really rich and dark.....and super yummy! They help fine food businesses and specialty stores pair their products with their high quality chocolates.
Teething Bling I have reviewed in the past and still love....I received the heart shaped pendant and little T is already loving it! I thought this one was really cute too!

Mama Cream from The Pumpkin Seed is smooth and creamy like whipped butter. Its all natural and great for stretch marks and leave you with a bit of a shine after which I liked.
Overall...loved the first box! Can't wait for next months!

7 AM Enfant - Product Review and Giveaway!!!!

I received a pair of Warmmuffs for review from 7 AM  Enfant. Warmmuffs are hand warmers (like gloves) you attach to the stroller handle to keep your hands warm in the chilly weather. They attach to the stroller really quickly and easily. Strong velcro and a formed end that wraps around the bar helps them stay in place while still giving you the ability to remove your hands quickly if necessary.  I liked how big they were, they fit over the thickest of my jackets and were great at blocking the wind while we were out.

I like that you can throw them in the machine...the fleece is super soft and that they are wick away water. It was between -9 and -12 up here when I was testing these... so it was perfect timing. I also threw in a reusable hand warmer ( was THAT cold) and it stayed in there well because of the shape so that was an added bonus....while making them both super toasty!

I also liked that there are a ton of colors to choose from and they match all their other products so you can coordinate everything or mix and match which is nice!

Thanks to 7AM Enfant for sending us up a pair to try out! These will be great for the beginning of ball season too!

miniOrganics - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received a bunch of items from miniOrganics. I received full size samples of the Nappy Balm, Superfine Jojoba and the Soothing Nipple Balm. I also got to try out a bunch of samples of their other products too... it was like Christmas morning in this house! All the products are organic and natural, made in Australia and are chemical free.

The Nappy Balm contains shea butter, beeswax, olive oil and about another 10 ingredients. The balm is really smooth and I liked that I could use it every diaper change to prevent T from getting a rash. Typically he doesn't get a rash on his tush....but he does get a bit red. He also gets red in his yep.. I stuck some in there too after his bath...LOL. I liked that this was not a you only needed a little, this will last use forever! They also list some other uses for the nappy yes... I tried some of those too... dry heels... check... and dry lips... check!

The Superfine Jojoba is a liquid wax that is enriched to make it super moisturizing. You can add this in your bath water or directly onto skin. I found this to be perfect for T's dry scalp....he doesn't have cradle cap..just yet. I have a feeling he will... he just has that type of skin. I also used this to give T his massages after his left his skin smooth and soft without being greasy. Another way to use this... eye make-up remover! I LOVED it for this! I have really sensitive eyes and it worked great. It didn't irritate my eyes and it actually got everything off. Jojoba helps with inflammation ..anywhere that you have a rash...acne...anything...apply a bit and it helps to sooth the skin.

Finally, the Soothing Nipple Balm has vitamin E...shea and coco butter as well as beeswax to help sooth sore, dry/cracked nipples from nursing. I liked that I didn't have to worry about having to wash off the balm before nursing or pumping and that this balm had the same texture as the nappy balm... so it will probably last the whole time I'm nursing, but the container is small enough to throw in my purse.

Thanks to miniOrganics for sending us a bunch of stuff to try the jojoba and we also really likes the body wash and moisturizer!

Woombie - Product Review

I received a blue original Woombie for review. A Woombie is a stretchy baby swaddle designed to help your baby feel comfortable and keep them safe while they sleep. It also helps with colic....which I think is going on with little Mr. gassy pants. Some facts about swaddling... babies sleep longer...prevents the little ones from scratching themselves and makes them feel like they are back in the womb which relaxes them.

The original Woombie is made of a cotton and spandex 95/5 blend...which makes it soft and stretchy....while not overheating the baby. T is a hot baby... I've noticed a few times that he gets a bit warm at night....with this... no problem. They have also recently launched the Woombie Tru AirTM which has a mesh panel which is breathable to help ventilate the body as well.

I like that there are 2 zippers for quick changes in the dark... we keep a blue night light on in his room...and I feed and change him by that light so this feature came in handy for me...didn't have to play around too much for the early morning feedings. T gets pretty fussy with swaddling....I liked that he didn't fit me too much with this, because he still could wiggle a bit but remain comfortable and have the ability to stretch out a bit.

I also liked that I didn't have to fuss with velcro or coming into the room in the morning to find an arm or a leg out. He stayed in this and didn't actually fuss as much wearing this one.

Thanks to Woombie for sending us out one to try, it has replaced our other swaddlers for sure!

Mixie and Sofie Story - Product Review

received an 8oz Mixie bottle and "The True Story of Sophie la girafe" book by Jane Wood from Bug in a Rug. Lets start with the is based on how Sophie the giraffe came to be. Everyone knows Sophie as the all-natural toy that almost every baby has. Well... from reading this cute story, I actually learned a ton about the beloved Sophie. She was born in 1961 in Paris...and ended up in Switzerland ..then the U.S... Germany...Canada....Italy..the UK.. Australia... China..Japan... the list goes on. Each page has facts about the country while continuing the cute story about how she traveled. Some other facts about Sophie....50 million toys have been sold (and we actually don't have figure)... she is made of hevea tree rubber and is sold in 52 countries. Overall the story is really cute and is based on how Sophie started being sold around the world.

The Mixie bottle is killer! Basically it is a bottle and formula container all in 1. Typically everyone carries their water and formula takes up a ton of room in your bag and is really a pain in the butt to be honest. Well, this has the container has it built into the bottom of the bottle. It is easy to fill and wash the compartment and surprisingly easy to wash....which means it actually does help save time. Once you are ready to feed the little one all you do is push the bottom...doing this pops the top off the compartment and releases the formula into the water. Then all you have to do is shake it up and feed! The top of the compartment actually helps smooth the formula while mixing too....which helps get out all the chunks. We really liked this bottle.... T has EBM but his 1 overnight feed is sometimes this was great at 3 in the morning to not have to fiddle around with too many things.

Thanks to Bug in a Rug (a Canadian distributor) for sending us out some products to try! The book was really cute and is now a bedtime fave and the bottle will be our perfect emergency saver!

Pink Lining - Product Review

I received a Yummy Mummy diaper bag in Multicoloured Bows from Pink Lining for review. This bag has a TON of wonder it's their most popular! Hmmm... where to start? I guess! The bag is canvass which is covered by an eco-friendly laminate. What does this mean? EASY TO CLEAN... hello! It's food safe too so no worries there. There is a pocket at each end of the bag which I used for M's drink and snack. There is a square pocket at the front... which was perfect size for my phone...keys...lip gloss etc. Plus it was super cute... their signature cupcake is embroidered on it...and the closure works great.

The straps are thick and have a snap to keep them together. The hardware is also durable and I likes the leather accents. The bag itself is cream with blue, red, yellow and green bows... the straps are cream with 2 blue stripes, the removable adjustable straps it comes with is also the same colors.

Inside...there is a ton of features inside this bag! First off.... the hot pink lining is killer!! Even with T being a boy... didn't bother me.... loved it. There is a mirror....key attachment, place for a pen and a zippered pouch. There is 2 large pockets which I used for T's diapers and my wallet. On the other side there is 2 insulated pockets (which are AWESOME!)... T doesn't like his milk warm....but... wait for it... COLD... like out of the fridge cold. It's the weirdest thing... so I threw in a small ice pack around 2 bottles full of breast-milk .. and they stayed cold the entire time we were out. The last pocket is in between the insulated ones and was perfect for some washcloths (which I use for bibs).

I really liked that this bag came with a change mat and wet bag. The change mat is thick and comfy and the wet bag is the right size to hold a few spoiled outfits and bibs. The change pad I actually ended up keeping at  home in the change table attached to the play yard.

Overall... awesome bag... comes in a ton of colors and styles. Personally I would have probably leaned more towards the grey or blue bow patterns, but that's just because I'm boring! LOL. Plus

Thanks to Pink Lining for sending us out a bag to try out... M has tried to steal it twice already to use as an overnight bag!

Embelle - Product Review

I received 3 bibs from Embelle to review.  We got to try 2 wipe-off bibs.... one in the snowman print and the other was the tuxedo one.  We also received a nerd novelty bib. The wipe-off bibs are made with nylon and are coated in polyurethane for easy cleaning. The snowman was very fitting...considering we had the pleasure of getting a huge snow and the tuxedo is awesome! I liked that the velcro is strong...even M had to try twice to get it open, which means T wont be able to get them off for a long time. Both bibs were easy to wipe off with either a wet wipe or in the sink. The pocket in the front is great for catching the big chunks... stitching is even and the prints were all well done. I loved the tuxedo one....T can bust this out at any fancy occasion! LOL.

The novelty bib is really cute!!!! It looks like a collar, tie and pocket including nerd pocket protector. It is 100% cotton, really soft and has the same strong velcro to close it in the back. This washed awesome....the print didn't run or fade and T looked SOOOO cute in it. This one is a bit smaller than the wipe-off ones so he can use this one regularly now and the wipe-offs once he gets into solids.

Embelle has a bunch of really cute prints.... I really liked the baseball one as well as the Dr and the referee. Come to think of it all of them are really cute!

Thanks to Embelle for letting us try out a few... T will be sporting his nerd one to M`s bday party!

Fairhaven - Product Review

I received Nipple Nurture Balm and a bottle of Nursing Blend supplement from Fairhaven Health for review.  The Nursing Blend can replace your regular prenatal vitamin. aids with milk production and is a must have from Dr. Kathleen Marinelli who is a leading lactation consultant. This supplement was great.... I added them to my regular regimen and noticed an increase in energy right away...and my skin looked great! It was probably the vitamin D and B. With regards to milk production I did notice an increase... I think I'm just not one of those women that will fill a freezer....but I can keep up with T. The fenugreek and fennel seed is what aids in milk production... I'm actually also taking extra fenugreek (it was something I was taking prior to trying this out) and it does help.

The B6 and 12 and folic acid helped to keep my body moving when I needed it to and relaxed when I had a moment to myself. These supplements also help with circulation which is great, especially after having a c-section.

The Natural Nipple Balm has helped a lot...nursing is just killing me, so this 100% organic balm has been great! It is lanolin-free and helps any sore areas disappear and keep them from coming back. Some of the ingredients include marshmallow root, shea butter and extra virgin olive oil. I liked how easy this balm went on, the texture is totally different that any of the regular brands which seem to be sticky and leave you having to wash your hands. I also liked that this balm helped from sticking to disposable breast pads without leaving them gunky.

Thanks to Fairhaven Health for another great bunch of products to try out!

Wallpops - Product Review and Giveaway!!!

I received the Habitat Kit from Wallpops for review. I chose this one because the colors go well with M's new big girl room and I thought they were cute, feminine and will be able to grow with her. The kit features modern nature elements in colorful silhouettes. The decals include 4 different green, blue, grey and brown. There are different leaves and foliage and even a pair of butterflies.

What I liked about these was the quality of them...they weren't as flimsy as some others I have tried, so I wasn't worried about ripping them. Also, I liked that they looked really pretty bunched together or spread out in M's room.

I also liked that if I didn't put them on straight or didn't like where I put them, they were easy to remove, didn't leave gunk on the walls and didn't crease the decal when I had to move it.

Overall, great experience, quality... and price...these ones also have other color coordinated items you can add like stripes, circles and even calendars! You can really get the full vision of what your space is going to look like! Plus, they have a ton of stuff to choose from... it will take you forever to decide!

Thanks to Wallpops for sending us out some to try! They made a great addition to M's big girl room!
