Treasure Trove - Post Show! #DisneyOnIceInsider

M and got to check out Disney on Ice last night! It was our first time seeing Treasure the Rogers Centre and we loved it! It had a great mix from a ton of my favorite Disney movies. ** Spoiler Alert!!! ** From watching Timon and Pumbaa sing Hakuna Matata to Prince Ali riding in on an elephant to impress Princess definitely is my new fave Disney On Ice show!

M loved the finale....all the princesses and princes zipped around and the fireworks were awesome. She said she also loved Rapunzel and Flynn's routine... the lanterns were awesome! Plus, the glow in the dark under the sea song was awesome.

We really did have a blast... made it a girl's night with one of her little friend's and her Mom. Grabbed dinner, her ceremonial slushie, popcorn and cotton candy at the show and watched in awe for 2 hours. I liked that I took a trip through memory lane and relieved my most favourite stories from when I was little, and that I was able to share this experience with her. I can't wait to take her again... and when she finds out that I bought her tickets for her birthday to Frozen...she's going to freak out!!!

Thanks to Feld for letting me tweet all show long... to take a peek at our experience check out #disneyoniceinsider :)

I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Behind the scenes! We had an awesome opportunity to get a look at behind the scenes on Treasure Trove! We were able to see some of the performers warming up and ask any questions we had. M loved having a shot at the sound effects and a close up look at some of the props. We were given a make-up lesson from Nala (who we got to meet) and even see and touch some of the costumes. M loved the entire experience! She loved every minute of it!!!

Our top 10 must do Christmas Traditions!

Monday, November 17, 2014

Hasbro Holiday Gift Guide!

Its Holiday Gift Guide time again!!! What does Hasbro have this year you ask? A TON!!! M and T tried out a few items on the list.  The Disney Princess Castle: POP-UP MAGIC Game M just loved! So much so, she asked for the other versions of the game for Christmas! Spin to play and use your
princess (Ariel, Belle, Aurora or Snow White) to make your way to the castle collecting your friend tokens (make sure you choose wisely....pick the wrong one and you lose your token and your turn! Pick a friend token that is yours and you keep the token and move ahead 6 spaces. Land on a villain and you move back 3 spaces....but no fear, there is more than 1 way to win the game! Make your way around the board or remember where your tokens are (memory game) and collect all 3 to head straight to the castle.

The Cookie Monster Bath Submarine T had a blast with. He
loved that part of the submarine strained water and that Cookie Monster could squirt water at M. He also liked that Cookie actually fit in the submarine and that the back propeller spun when he filled the cabin full of water and held it up.

Lastly, another growing favorite in this household... Mr. Potato Head... but these guys... come in T's size! These Marvel Mixable Mashable Heroes are just his size and he loves Marvel, so really for him, total home run. I liked that Santa could add a few more of these to T's stocking and they are interchangeable....and that he could totally do change the helmets, arms and feet by himself. Plus, the pint-size taters are totally his size and perfect for something to do on the car ride to drop M off at school.
Other items that made the HGG this year...a ton of really cool Play-Doh sets like Frozen and Doc McStuffins. Transformers and Marvel items are on the top of every boy's list this year, and there are a TON of choices for all age ranges. There is a wide variety of Sesame Street and Playskool items for the LOs this year, along with KRE-O, Nerf, FURREAL, My Little Pony and board games!

There is so many items on the HGG this year, there are going to be some VERY happy kids come Christmas morning!

The Manual Breast Pump is great for on the go and the soft cushion helps to stimulate milk flow. It means you can stock up on bottles and bags...and everything is easy to clean and sterilize. The storage bags come pre-sterilized, can be stored in the fridge or freezer, are easy to fill and the double layer makes sure everything stays fresh until ready to use.

#Soniclear Product Review

I received a SONICLEAR to try out. It is an antimicrobial sonic skin cleansing system that gently messages dirt and make-up while ensuring that bacteria doesn't grow on the attachments. It can be used to help prevent breakouts, improve skin ton and clean your skin to better react and absorb your daily skincare products. The system comes with the device, 1 facial brush, 1 body brush the charging stand and power adapter.

I liked this unit with regards to how soft my skin felt after using it. It massaged and vibrated to clean deep into my pored and get out all my make-up. The attachments are easy to clean and to switch out. The battery lasts a long time too, which means I can throw it in my luggage for a weekend away and not have to bring the charger. Michael Todd has a skin care line for all skin types and even an Eyeosonic and a Bi-light which are other systems to help with both the eye area and anti-aging. Everything looks really interesting... I'm going to check out the clay mask and some of the anti-oxidant line of products!

For more information please visit the website HERE

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Oyaco - Gro-hush and Gro-egg!

We got to try out a Gro-hush and Gro-egg from Oyaco for review. The Gro-hush is really, really

cool! I wish I had this when my kids were newborns! It is a portable white noise machine that is safe for baby (set at a 75 decibel level, which studies proved to be safe even for newborns for long periods of time). There are different sounds to choose from including ocean waves and heartbeats. I remember I played a white noise machine for T and he loved the heartbeat sounds. M on the other hand loved anything to do with nature. I liked that the timer is automatically set at 10 min and that you can wash the soft cover that you use to place it near your LOs ears, plus...the travel case... awesome idea. I recently found out that my SIL is having her first LO, so this is a definite addition to the little peanut's x-mas list!
The Gro-egg is en-genius! It is a nightlight and thermometer built into one. Yellow means the room is set at a comfortable temperature, blue is too cold and red is too hot. I love this for T's room because it is over the garage so it tends to be a bit cooler than the other rooms now we know when to shut off some of the other vents upstairs.

Thanks to Oyaco for sending over some cool new items to try out!

Philips AVENT Moms - #AVENTmomsCA

I received 2 training cups to review as part of the 2014 Philips AVENT Mom program in Canada. T got to try out a Trainer and a Natural Drinking Cup as part of the first round of the program.
The Trainer is great because it has a soft spout and handles to make it easy for little hands to use and is safe to use on sensitive teething gums. This cup is great starter cup for those learning to use a cup for the first time, and then they can grow with these cups too. The spouts and handles can be used with all cups and bottles. The Natural Drinking Cup is dishwasher safe, and comes with a snap on lid to keep the rim of the cup clean. I loved this cup for T who will soon be transitioning to a regular cup. Philips AVENT patented a leak-proof valve so T can only drink out of it a little at a time. Also he needs to tilt the cup up and the liquid will only come out when held at a certain angle as well. He's actually taking to this one really well, so I'm hoping to pick up a few more and put them in the cup rotation! Ha ha ha!

Pregnant or a new Mom? With AVENT you can sign up and receive tips, advise and exclusive offers via email and a ton of coupons to help you save some extra $. I remember referring back to a few emails I was sent when I had M about how to deal with colic, and I ended up using a few tips that worked perfectly on her. Healthy Shopper Picks from Fall 2014!

Here we go...the Healthy Shopper picks are here for this Fall, and to be honest.... totally the best picks yet! Ok, lets get started!

Olympic Dairy -  CHIA Balkan style yogurt - It doesn't contain preservatives, gelatin or gluten which is great. I liked the texture of it as well. My typically favorite flavors aren't available so I found myself getting the vanilla and adding some apples and cinnamon to it. Loved it!

Made Good™ - The granola minis and hit at home and in the office! I loved these for a quick breakfast and my 2 pm snack. These are made from ethically sourced organic ingredients and whole grains, and are SUPER yummy!

Pamela’s Products - Artisan Flour Blend and Sugar Cookie Mix - Well, as you can guess those didn't last long and possibly the best tasting cookies we've had from this type of mix. The flour we used as a replacement to the little areas I used whole wheat flour before, and it works awesome.

Simply Natural – Simply Natural pasta sauces - They are certified organic, fat free and are AWESOME for helping us make a quick meal tasty with a healthier option for the family. I actually liked all 4 of the sauces where the kids tending to go with the tomato basil as a go-to. .

Allimax - Extracted allicin from garlic to help boost your natural immune system, and come in vegetarian capsule form. These can be taken daily to support overall health...I took them and found myself not getting sick when both kids came down with a cold. Its a natural replacement to all those other over the counter pills.

Hyland’s, Inc. - Tiny Cold Tablets and Cough Syrup - These came at the perfect time! M had a cough and T was congested with a runny nose. I loved that both are easy to dose, the tiny capsules are AMAZING. T was 100% better the day after getting the recommended dose and a good night sleep. It was like night and day honestly. The cough syrup worked great for M! I gave it to her before school and she said she didn't cough once the whole day. These homeopathic options for LOs are right on the money!

Honestly, the group of products chosen this I can tell you right now, I'll without a doubt re-purchase the Hyland's products and the Made Good™ the minute they run out. The apple granola minis are killer!

Baby All Gone - Product Review

M got to try out Hasbro's new Baby All Gone doll. She comes with 2 diapers, 2 feeding packs, a
bottle, dish and spoon. She speaks over 30 phrases and your LO actually has to feed and change the baby. The food comes in powdered form in which you add a few teaspoons of water and mix it up. M loved feeding "Susie" and T got involved by giving her a bottle when she asked for it. M and T also decided to feed her on the potty so she didn't dirty a diaper, which I thought was funny.

Baby All Gone speaks both English and French, and you can toggle between the languages as well as turning her off but holding down the heart on her bracelet. Our "Susie" was stuck in French for a bit but M figured it out and turned her back into English mode.  You can buy refills for her as well, extra diapers and food. You can't feed her regular food, so make sure you add some to your LO's Santa list this year!

I loved that M felt like she was taking care of a real baby. T is older now, so she really doesn't get to help out that much anymore, and I think she really liked the responsibility! I have a feeling this id going to be on quite a few lists this holiday season. Thanks Hasbro!

#CAARewards with @CAASCO - I'm Hooked!

So, the month of August I've been shopping and getting M ready for SK! Needless to say we've been bouncing around from mall to mall looking for everything she needs...and well..everything she WANTS too! LOL. I hit up the GAP and scored a few items for her and well...a new hoodie for me! Then we ran by Kernels and got a large bag of butter salt (her fave) for the price of a medium! T was happy about this one... he LOVES popcorn, and we would rarely get a large, so he was a happy boy! I did so some shopping at Sephora,...totally should have ordered online to earn my CAA dollars instead! Mommy brain to the rescue on that one, boooo. I just can't believe how many places you can use your CAA card to get discounts...honestly. Half the time I don't remember, so I actually have been using the CAA app to show me rewards in my area! Roots has been having a sale on sweats... yep...used my CAA Membership to get a discount on top of the sale prices! We had a blast shopping and now I'm almost addicted...ok... I am. LOL.

Thanks to CAA for making shopping easier for me! Not that I needed any excuses to get out there!

Don't forget that with CAA you can also use your Membership for insurance, so you never have to worry!

Back to School, sales, backpacks and lunch bags...oh my!

Back to school time is usually a very stressful time for both kids and not so much! We love back to school shopping and the excitement the comes with it! This was the first time M picked out her backpack and lunch bag by herself.... she actually dragged a shopping basket around to collect all her goodies and made sure that she wasn't forgetting anything off her list! She picked out some awesome new stuff and I got some great deals on all her BTS essentials and had an opportunity to re-stock our art supplies too! It was awesome! Make sure you stock up before everything is swept up!

I also love this time of year, because well... there's a ton of sales, and I'm not shy about how much I love to shop. I picked out a new Lug backpack (as a great alternative to a diaper bag), Lug lunch bag (for work) and tablet (which M has already stolen) from one of my fave office supply+ more stores. They made it super easy to walk-in, look around, and I was able to get brand name items for amazing prices. Plus the staff I ran in to were really helpful.

We also did a full look through her closet for the first time in a long time to be honest! I'm so glad we did it.... I was able to get rid of a bunch of items that didn't fit her anymore, make a list of everything we needed, and was able to find replacements relatively quickly.

M had a great first week of school, she's now one of the oldest in her class and it's the first time she'll be put in a more of a leadership role in her room. I'm interested to see how much she is going to change over the course of this year. She also lost her first tooth, which is HUGE! She was so was awesome! She also has another wiggly one that should be out in the next week or so, so next week will be a blast too!

These last few weeks have been quite the adventure so far! I'm excited to see what's next! Hopefully more shopping...but that may just be wishful thinking!

Amazing #CAARewards with @CAASCO

Everyone knows that I am a CAA member...and actually have been for years. To be honest, I've only ever used the card for emergencies (which are few and far between) until now! I never realized how many great partners CAA works with to provide members with AMAZING rewards like discounts and exclusive offers. You also can earn CAA Dollars® by using your card...and it's not only in store, there are a ton of online partners as well. I've been asked to be a part of a Spot the Partner campaign with CAA which will allow me to tell you all about all the great places CAA helps you save you money.

We were recently in the US for a quick family vacay (based around a ball tournament of course) and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Seneca Falls NY. Yep...used my CAA Membership to get a discount on our room. On a side note, I also purchased CAA travel insurance for the family for under $40 for the week we were there (crazy right?). Anyway, so I started off my getting a discount at the hotel and continued right along as we shopped for 4 days!

Now, I am a self-proclaimed shopaholic, so don't put it past me to constantly shop online as well. I do, it's true... and I think I actually may have a problem...LOL. I was checking out all the cool partners that you can shop online for with CAA rewards, and guess who caught my eye....hello Starbucks and Teavana. I can stock up on all my faves and throw in a new mug to top it off! Other killer rewards of where I usually shop online are Sephora (there's not one in my area and I typically only use their brand of make-up)....Walmart and Aldo. Plus using the site is super easy. Click on the offer you want, enter your CAA Membership number, shop and make your purchases, and receive your CAA dollars 90 days after your purchase. Easy.
Don't like to online shop? Go into a store and show your CAA Membership at places like the GAP and get 10% off your purchase, even off sale items. We're hitting up the mall this weekend for a few more items for M and back to school. Plus for the month of August, Gap Outlet is offering 15% off purchases of $75 or more! Dont' forget to download the CAA app to find out where all the great deals are and much more!

What do CAA dollars get you? It's pretty simple, savings. Use them to buy travel merchandise, upgrade your Membership and even gift a Membership to a friend or family member.Still haven't signed up to become a CAA Member? Click HERE to get started!
