The Color Run!!!

Well... I've finally bit the bullet and REALLY changed our eating habits AND added the gym to my daily(ish) routine. It was time for us to make smarter choices, and really... we're actually enjoying it. SO.. to celebrate... we're doing the happiest 5k on earth! Yes people! M, T and I are doing The Color Run!!!! I figured, a double stroller and I can take on this non-competitive run (and most likely walk it...they're heavy in the stroller man!) as my very first race!!! EEEEEK!!! Honestly, it just looked like so much fun, we have to try it out!

What's the hype all about The Color Run? Well... it's actually a paint race that allows you to celebrate being happy, healthy and lets you just be yourself! Take the kids...walk it.. whatever! Its all about having fun and loving life...and well.. getting covered in a ton of powdered paint! The Color Run has exploded in popularity... over 170 races in 30+ countries in 2013 and they are growing so quickly that I'm sure there is a race coming to your area!

Keep an eye out for my post-race post! I'm super excited about doing this race, and hope our team has a blast!!!

Want to see if there is event coming near you?? Visit to check the closest location to you and use code COLOR5OFF to get $5 off your registration fee! (make sure you actually type in the code). You get an AWESOME kit when you register too... lots of goodies to get you ready for the race!

Ornaments for any occasion!

I received some awesome personalized ornaments from Russell Rhodes for our family. Hubby and I got a wedding themed one that was personalized with our names and wedding date. I'm surprised I never actually had one made for our 1st Christmas, I guess we've been together so long I didn't even think about it.

M's is a blonde soccer player and T's is a blond baseball player. Both of them had their names on them as well. Every year I like to get a family ornament made to put on our tree and this year I have 3 new ones to add to our tree.

Russell Rhodes has so many to choose from it took me forever to decide!!! I figured these were very fitting for us, but they have anything from baby's first Christmas to ideas for great teachers gifts. I really liked that there were multiple versions of many of them as well to make it easy to choose the look of your ornament and they can personalize to anything you would like. The ones I chose are all made of resin which keeps them hard and durable. Each also came with black velvet storage bag which I thought was a nice touch and perfect for storing them.

Thanks to Russell Rhodes for letting us check out your products... I even LOVE the desktop decorations!! Definitely a must for this year!

Green Tones Toys!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. We received 3 toys from Green Tones to try out.
Both kids loved these musical instruments! There is a big bear drum, small bear rattle and a whistle car. They are made with non-toxic products which is fantastic! T loved the drum, the only thing I would actually change is that there is somewhere to put the drum stick. A tiny clip or even a hole for it to slide in to would be genius. The kids kept misplacing the drumstick so really, that's the only change I would make.

The quality of these were awesome and they had a blast playing with them! This was 1 noisy house! I honestly really liked these. They washed well (because, it's a reality in this house that everything gets disgustingly dirty) so a quick wipes was all it took, and I loved the natural wood.

Thanks Green Tones!
For more information and ordering check them out on Amazon!

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Iron Man Figures from Playskool!

T received some action figures to try out from Playskool! He got Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man and the Hulk. I liked that these were the right size for little hands and didn't have any small parts that could hurt him. Also....they are super fun!!

When you squeeze their feet together and they move their arms for him to be able to play fight with them. He's a bit young to understand how to properly play with them but he likes making them move and smashing them together, so in reality....he probably totally gets it! Everyone loves Marvel comics, plus...with all the movies coming out these are probably going to fly off the shelf! Playskool has a ton of other preschool toys especially for the new Spiderman movie coming out! I'll be sure to keep an eye out so T can add him to his hero collection!

Thanks again to Hasbro for making us take time out of our busy day to remember just to have fun!
