We had the opportunity to visit Legoland Discovery Centre in Vaughan. We started off by going through the factory tour... I picked up an activity pass for M ($5) which got her a lanyard with a fun activity booklet attached with a few games, info and spots for her to collect embossed stamps from each of the areas she visited. Collect them all, and you get a lanyard badge at the end of your journey!
There are a ton of things to do here...my favorite.. the 4D cinema! I loved that we could feel the wind and even get splashed on with a light mist...and M loved when it actually snowed in the theater! M and I went on the Kingdom Quest Laser Ride where we had to shoot enemies along the way, then picked up our family picture we took in front of the green screen right before entering the discovery centre. I bought the $18 package which got us 1 print, a key chain and the digital copy. There are other packages to choose from too!
MINILAND was awesome... I loved looking at the Dome, CN Tower and the ACC! M loved building her race car and racing Daddy's car head to head in the building centre. T enjoyed DUPLO village while M was in the construction site running around. We also rode Merlin's ride, which was super fun, and then hit up the Master Builder Academy for some quiet time to just relax and make a few cool things to add to the table of items everyone who visited created. There is also the Ninjago Laser Training Camp (which M tried out) where you have to dodge the lasers and get through without touching them.
Another cute thing they do... mini figure trading. Basically, bring in any mini figures and you can ask anyone (even staff) to trade with you. They say yes... and you switch your figures. I loved this idea!! Legoland also holds birthday parties, which seriously, I think any kid would love! For more information about birthday events, click HERE. M loved the entire place...she got to explore and experience everything. T had a great time playing with Legos for the first time, and he's officially obsessed, so we had to pick up some on the way out for him!
We had a blast visiting Legoland Discovery Centre...thanks for having us! We'll be back!
